In this quick reference, selecting the context menu is represented as follows.

1 Route Planning
To create the route, enter the waypoint (WPT) by the following two methods.
T Table Editing Mode:the way to enter each WPT’s value into the table
G Graphic Editing Mode:the way to plot each WPT on the chart graphically by using the mouse
In this quick reference, the following logos indicate the type of these modes.
・ T : Table Editing Mode
・ G : Graphic Editing Mode

1.1 Starting the Route Planning

2 Left-click the [Graphic Editor] button to switch from the Table Editing Mode to the Graphic Editing
Mode.
Then the Graphic Editing Mode starts and the Graphic Editing Screen comes up.
* If you switch the mode while creating the route, created contents are taken over to the other mode.
3 Left-click the [Open] button. The [Open Route File] panel opens.
4 Select the route you want to edit, and then left-click the [OK] button.
The selected route opens.

1.2 Inserting the New WPT( button/ button)

1 Left-click the WPT number of the row you want to insert the WPT. The row’s color changes to blue.

1 Left-click the [Insert/Move WPT] button.

3 Move the cursor to the position you want to insert, and then left-click.
Then the new WPT is inserted, the later WPT’s numbers are increased one by one.

1.3 Deleting the WPT( button/ button)

1 Left-click the WPT number of the row you want to delete the WPT. The row’s color changes to blue.

1 Left-click the [Delete WPT] button.

1.4 Dividing the Leg( button/ [Divide Leg] menu)

1 Left-click the WPT number of the row you want to divide the leg. The row’s color changes to blue.
The [Divide Route WPT X to WPT X+1] panel closes, and then the leg is divided.

1 Left-click the WPT number of the row you want to check the WPT. The row’s color changes to blue.

Left-clicking the [View Sync] button switches ON and OFF.

3 Move the cursor to the position you want to transfer, and then left-click.
The WPT is moved.

1.12 Creating the Alternate Route( [Create Alternate Route] menu)
1 Select the original route from the [ROUTE] drop-down list on the display panel.
The selected route is displayed on the chart.

The Create Alternate Route Mode is started, and then the Create Alternate Route Screen comes up.
3 The method of creating the alternate route is same as the Graphic Editing Mode.

The alarm sounds when the vector passes through the safety contour.
● Carry out the following menu operation to modify the setting value of the safety contour, if required.

2.3 Enabling the Arrival Last WPT Alarm

2 Tick the [Arrival Last WPT] box, and then left-click the [Apply] or [OK] button.
You can set the alarm when the own ship reaches the point of XX minutes before the own ship
arrives at the last WPT.

2 Tick the [Off Course] box, and then left-click the [Apply] or [OK] button.
The alarm sounds when the heading of the own ship exceeds more than the setting angle.
1 Select and left- click [Use XTD Alarm] from the menu.

The tick (✔) is marked in the menu, and then the alarm sounds when the own ship deviates from
the planning course.

2 The longitude and latitude in the [Monitoring Circle] item is the center of the monitoring circle.
(default: the heading forward position)
Left-clicking on the chart can also set the position as the center of the monitoring circle

4 Left-click the [OK] button. The [Create Monitoring Circle] panel is closed, and then the monitoring
circle is displayed on the chart.
The alarm sounds when the own ship deviates from the monitoring circle.
To clear the monitoring circle, select and left-click [Clear Monitoring Circle] from the menu.

3 AIS/TT
The AIS information received from the AIS and the TT information received from the radar can be
displayed on the chart.

3.1 Displaying the AIS/TT target( TT

(*) The displayed AIS/TT target is the one selected by the following menu operation.
Select and left-click [TT1], [TT2], [AIS], or [All] from the menu.
The selected target is displayed on the chart, and then the tick (✔) is marked in the menu.

3.2 Narrowing down the display of the AIS target( [AIS/TT Setting] menu)

[AIS Filter]
2 Select the [Display] from the [Filter Mode] drop-down list in the [AIS filter] item.
3 Tick the [Ring] and [Sector] box in the [AIS filter] item, and then left-click the [Apply] or [OK] button.
The filter is enabled, and then only AIS target in the setting range of [Ring] and [Sector] is displayed.

3.3 Activating the AIS Target( [Activate AIS] menu)
1 Right-click on the chart to open the context menu, and then left-click [Activate AIS].

3.4 Deactivating the AIS Target( [Deactivate AIS] menu)
1 Right-click on the chart to open the context menu, and then left-click [Deactivate AIS].

3.9 Enabling the Dangerous Target Alarm( [AIS/TT Setting] menu)
1 Press the [AIS/TT] key on the operation panel to display the AIS target on the chart.
The dangerous alarm sounds when an AIS target comes into the setting range of CPA and TCPA.
● Carry out the following menu operation to modify the setting range, if required.

4 Select the intended AIS target from the [AIS CPA/TCPA Alarm] drop-down list.

4 Navigation Calculating
1 Select the route from the [ROUTE] drop-down list on the display panel.
The selected route is displayed on the chart.
Distance Measurement
3 Select the starting and end point in the [From] and [To] drop-down list, respectively.
If you select the [Waypoint], select the waypoint number from the [WPT No.] drop-down list.
If you select the [Own Ship] or [Picked Point], select the via point number from the [Via WPT No.]
drop-down list.

4.2 Calculating the ETA from the Ship Speed
(★)
2 Select the WPT number of the destination from the [DEST] drop-down list.
The distance from the own ship to the destination is displayed.
The input value or the actual ship speed as the ship speed can be selected.
3 Left-click the [Actual] button to switch to [CALC], and then enter the ship speed in the [SPD] box.
The [CALC] and [Actual] button can be switched just one click.
The estimated time of arrival is calculated and displayed in the [ETA] field.(★)
4 Left-click the [CALC] button to switch to [Actual], and then the actual ship speed is displayed in the
[SPD] box.

1 Turn clockwise the [VIDEO] dial on the operation panel to increase the brilliance, and then the
[Radar Setting] panel opens.
You may want to adjust while watching the scroll bar.
2 Left-click the [Close] button or press the [VIDEO] dial to close the [Radar Setting] panel.

1 Turn clockwise the [RAIN] dial on the operation panel to enhance the effect of rain and snow
anti-clutter, and then the [Radar Setting] panel opens.

6 User Map Editing
The user map can be created and overlaid with other charts.
The user map information contains various objects (symbols, lines, areas, texts).

● Creating the New User Map
2 Left-click the [New] button. The new user map can be created.
2 Left-click the [Open] button. The [Open Chart File] panel opens.
3 Select the user map you want to edit, left-click the [OK] button.
The selected user map opens.

The symbol is entered.
To abort entry, right-click on the chart to open the context menu, and then left-click the [Abort].

3 Move the cursor to the starting position of the line, and left-click.
4 Move the cursor to the position you want to draw the line, and left-click.
If you want to continue to draw, repeat these operations.
