TURBINE ROLLING PROCEDURE

1 Ensure Rolling Parameters: Steam Pressure 42 bar, Temperature 320 °C,

2 For Turbine Latching

2a First Out Reset
2b Trip Reset
2c ETS Reset
2d Latch the turbine from DEH page- Confirm for diaphragm pressure 6-7 bar
2e After Latching Check for full opening of RSV #1 and RSV #2

3 Turbine Rolling
3a CONTROL MODE: Select Operator Auto- IN Service
3b VALVE MODE: Single Valve- IN
3c LIMITER SET POINT: Valve Position- 100% (Enter)
3d GV will open 100%

4 600 RPM
4a Give RPM Set Point 600 rpm at ramp Rate 100 rpm/min.
4b TV and IV will open accordingly to reach desired rpm.
4c Ensure at 600 rpm CRH NRV open in auto
4d Hold the turbine for 30 min for soaking- Moniter all Critical Parameters
4e Ensure at 16 rpm Turning Gear is disengaging
4f Watch for Turbine lube oil Temperature.It will Start Increasing

5 2450 RPM
5a Give RPM Set Point 2450 rpm at ramp Rate 100 rpm/min.
5b In Critical Speed 1150-2000 rpm ramp rate change automatically to 500rpm/min
5c Hold the turbine for 60 min for soaking- Moniter all Critical Parameters
5d Check JOP will stop at 1200 rpm

6 2950 RPM
6a Give RPM Set Point 2950 rpm at ramp Rate 100 rpm/min.
6b Hold the turbine for 10 min- Moniter all Critical Parameters
6c Transfer TV to GV at 2950 rpm
6d Ensure MOP discharge Pressure 21-22 bar
6e Stop AOP and HP Startup Pump

7 3000 RPM
7a Give RPM Set Point 3000 rpm at ramp Rate 100 rpm/min.
7b Moniter all Critical Parameters

8 SYNCHRONISATION
8a Take Electrical Clearance for Synchronisation
8b CONTROL MODE: Auto SYNCH- IN Service

9 After Synchronisation
9a FEEDBACK STATU: Megawatt Loop - IN
9b CONTROL SP: Target- 18MW at Rate 30MW/min
Note: If 4.9 MW load will not come in 25 seconds then TG will trip on Low Forward Power Relay
Close HP and LP bypass system as soon as Turbine got Synchronised

10 If Turbine got tripped during Rolling

10a Reset Turbine:
First Out Reset
Trip Reset
ETS Reset
Check for full opening of RSV #1 and RSV #2(If RSV #1 and #2 not open Latch the Turbine and confirm opening of
RSVs)

10b Confirm All Modes in DEH Page:

CONTROL MODE: Select Operator Auto- IN Service
VALVE MODE: Single Valve- IN
 LIMITER SET POINT: Valve Position- 100% (Enter)

11 Give command for required rpm at 100 rpm/min.

Note: Take care for Critical Speed while giving rpm Set point
