Addiction- A person has an addiction when he becomes dependent on or craves a drug and believes he
needs the drug to live in. All addicted drug user can think about is getting the next dose and getting high.

Mental disorder-Mental disorder it is a syndrome characterized by clinically significant disturbance in an


individual's cognition, emotion, or behavior, that reflects a dysfunctional in the psychological biological,
or developmental process underlying mental functioning.

Effects of drugs

 Delusion- are false believed rooted in the mind that seems real but are not
 hallucination - sensory driving incident that involved hearing or seeing something that is not
reality base

Routes of drug Administration

Classification of drugs

1. Stimulants/ Uppers
- These drugs are used to increase mental activity, relive fatigue and offset drowsiness.
- Drugs that excites the CNS increasing alertness, delaying sleep, impale appetite and
cause weight loss.
- Shabu (poor mans cocaine) or Cocaine
- Usually stimulants make a person high
- energetic and speed up a persons body and brain
- When the effects of a stimulant wear off, a person will feel tired or sick

determine the type of its effect most people drink for stimulant effect such as beer or glass of wine
taken to loosen up but if a person consume more than the body can handle they can experience alcohol
depressants effect.
