Module on Set Up User Access: Mastering Virtual Machine Installation

This module was collaboratively designed, developed and reviewed by educators from
Schools Division Office of Pasig City headed by its Officer-In-Charge Schools Division
Superintendent, Ma. Evalou Concepcion A. Agustin in partnership with the Local
Government of Pasig through its Mayor, Honorable Victor Ma. Regis N. Sotto.
The writers utilized the standards set by the K to 12 Curriculum using the Most Essential
Learning Competencies (MELC) while overcoming their personal, social, and economic
constraints in schooling.

This learning material hopes to engage the learners into guided and independent
learning activities at their own pace and time. Further, this also aims to help learners acquire
the needed 21st century skills especially the 5 Cs namely: Communication, Collaboration,
Creativity, Critical Thinking and Character while taking into consideration their needs and
circumstances.

on Set Up User Access: Mastering Virtual Machine Installation

The hand is one of the most symbolized part of the human body. It is often used to depict
skill, action and purpose. Through our hands we may learn, create and accomplish. Hence,
the hand in this learning resource signifies that you as a learner is capable and empowered
to successfully achieve the relevant competencies and skills at your own pace and time. Your
academic success lies in your own hands!

This module was designed to provide you with fun and meaningful opportunities for guided
and independent learning at your own pace and time. You will be enabled to process the
contents of the learning material while being an active learner.

This module aims to provide the mastery of installing and configuring Virtual Machine in
preparation for the Second Quarter:

Pre-installation :

Prepare your VMware installer -VMware Workstation 12 and in the included serial
number inside the crack folder (trial version for educational purpose only). Ask your teacher
about it.

Note: Depending on your machine, some pc’s need to configure the BIOS setup by enabling
Virtual Technology under CPU Configuration.

Again, going back to Module 4 on how to install VMWare Workstation 12 :

A. HOW TO INSTALL VMware Workstation 12.

1. Find your VMWare installer and install the software.

In this case, the installer is located on the desktop

Open the folder and run VMware -workstation -full-12.1.0.3272444

2. If you happen to see the VMware installation Launcher, click YES to continue the
installation ….

3. A VMWare Workstation Pro Setup Wizard will appear….click next…

4. Accept the license agreement by ticking the accept checkbox and click NEXT …

5. At the Custom Setup, click NEXT

6. Since this is a TRIAL Version, uncheck the checkboxes as shown below.. then click
NEXT….

7. Let the shortcuts be created …click NEXT and INSTALL

8. Wait until installation is finished. Click LICENSE to run the TRIAL VERSION

9. Enter the license key. License key is located at the crack folder of your installer.

10. You may copy the license key by selecting the key and press CTRL+V to paste on to its
field. Then press ENTER. Click FINISH.

HOW TO UNINSTALL THE VMware Workstation 12

1. Click the start button. Find select the VMware Workstation 12 from the menu and click
UNINSTALL. Click CHANGE from the program.

2. Click NEXT…then click REMOVE.

3. Leave the checkboxes, click NEXT, then click REMOVE

4. Let the process continue…then click FINISH.

You may repeat the process of installation and uninstallation of the software for
your mastery. If you think you have master enough both processes, you may now start
answering this Self-Assessment Guide (SAG) honestly.
