To sum up, Remedial Instruction is required by the Department of Education to all public schools to

improve the weaknesses of the students. Remedial Instruction helps the students to develop their
cognitive skill as well as their weakness in a subject.

There are four focuses of Remedial Instruction, and it includes Remedial Education, Remedial Teaching,
Remedial Activities, and Remedial Reading. In addition to that, remedial education is giving instruction
to the students to improve their skills. Remedial teaching is a remedial that use to point out the areas of
difficulties of the students. Remedial activities can assist struggling students to improve their abilities
especially their weaknesses in a specific area. Lastly, Remedial reading is a way or tool that could use to
reduce the number of the students who are struggling in writing, reading, reading, and even arithmetic.

Remedial instruction has remediation strategies. Its purpose is to benefit the learners to catch up with
their studies. And, helping them to not fail and fall behind among their classmates, and to successfully
impart the knowledge to the students objectively. There are six remediation strategies, including,
analyze errors before retakes, provide options for tutoring, encourage reviewing in a new way, work on
organization and study habits, introduce differentiated instruction, and try a digital curriculum.
Furthermore, the importance of remedial reading focuses on comprehending letters and words which
are written in any form of text. Remedial reading has function in skills including reading comprehension,
listening comprehension, Decoding (regular words), sight word recognition (irregular words),
vocabulary, fluency, phonological awareness, and written expression. Additionally, it is divided into two,
the critical reading and recreational reading.
