3.1.1 System Equipment
The electric house is fitted with two air conditioning equipment. Operation is controlled from their own control
panels.
For further information and instructions: See manufacturer’s manuals.

3.2 Ventilator Fans in the Machinery Room

The machinery house is equipped with two ventilator fans, one to blow heated air out from the house and
another to blow fresh air into the house. The fans are fitted with two-speed motors.
The fans are controlled with a wall mounted two-step thermostat via the PLC as follows:
 When the air temperature exceeds the lower set point of the thermostat, both fans are started at low
speed (preliminary set +20º C).
 When the air temperature exceeds the higher set point of the thermostat, both fans are started at high
speed (preliminary set +25º C).
There is also manually operated three-phase safety switch located close to each fan unit. The switches can
be locked to OFF-position.

Before any repair and maintenance work on the fan unit turn and lock the
WARNING
associated safety switch to OFF position.

3.3 Air Conditioner in Operator’s Cabin

The operator’s cabin is equipped with one split type air conditioner. The air conditioner is provided with

 230V convenience outlets
 Walkway lights
 Interior room lights
 Aviation obstruction lights
 Ventilator fans in machinery house
 Fan heaters in electric house
 Air conditioners in electric room and cabin

The shore power is connected to the crane with a plug connector. Location of the connector is on the
seaside leg, on the dock level. Shore power will be connected as follows:
 Connect shore power plug to its socket on dock level under the seaside sillbeam.
 Switch shore power on by turning safety switch for lighting and heating (T-Q1 in electrical room cubicle
T-E1) to position 2 = Supply from shore
Shore power will be disconnected as follows:
