Introduction

The assignment aims to provide information about the medical history related to one of

friend or family that required to use one or even more than one prescription drugs. Therefore, the

dental program health questionnaire has helped in order to get medical history of patients and

medications taken by the patients in an effective manner.

Information from the Assignment

First and foremost, it is vital for dentist to get basic information from patients with the

help of dental programs health. For this reason, questionnaire has been used in order to get

insightful information related to patients. It is found that patient was asked about the history of

any conditions with surgeries involved. Therefore, with the help of questionnaire it is found that

the patient has asthma issue from childhood. Moreover, it is found that the patients have taken

premedication for dental treatments and also use to drink alcohol (Choi and Doh, 2021). It is

found that the patient has been taking the anti-inflammatory drugs and topical analgesics

It is found that the patients have been suffering from asthma, I have gained information

related to asthma that has improved my clinical experiences. It is because asthma medications

can enhance the risk factor related to the dental erosion (Harrington, Prado and Barry, 2016). On

the other hand, it is analysed that the medications related to asthma have a less pH level of 5.5

due to which it has several side effects, however, the most prominent one I have experienced is

decreasing flow of salivary. This has increased my academic information about the relationship

between asthma and dental treatment.

However, I have analysed that the patient has taken premedication for dental treatment. It

is because most asthmatic patients have at higher risk for anxiety due to dental appointments.

This has increased my life and academic experience as now I can help patients who have been

suffering from dental anxiety (Lexicomp). It is also found from the questionnaire that the patient

has been involved in alcohol that can affect his oral health. With the help of this experience, I

found that that alcohol not only affect the physical health of patients, however, it also affects

their social and psychological health in an effective manner. The patient has been taking Aspirin

as anti-inflammatory drugs in order to get relieve from the mild pain that has been occurred due

to toothaches. The dosage used by patient is 75 mg orally once per day and it helps me to

improve my both clinical information and academic experience (Faghihian et al., 2018). On the

other hand, the patient has also taking Anbesol around 50 mg once per day in order to get relieve

from irritation that has been caused due to cold sores.

It is found that the course student learning outcomes in this assignment has helped to get

information about the patients. In the current assignment there are learning outcomes that are

related to the medical condition faced by patients and illness associated. The importance of

getting information about the medical condition helps dentist to treat them accordingly. On the

other hand, another learning outcome is related to the counter medications so that dentists can

used their clinical and academic experience in order to provide proper medication to patient that

can help them in an effective manner. Due to which, it is important to provide them right

medication for the dental implications. It is noted that the use of this information is beneficial in

order to help patients suffering from asthma by the help of accurate medication and can minimise

the risk factors related to dental erosion (Wolters Kluwer). Moreover, it has provided the life

experience that I can help my friends and family member who are indulged in drinking and has

similar kind of problem.
