VIRTUAL LIVING ROSARY

CULMINATING ACTIVITY

Introductory Rites:

Good Evening dear brothers, sisters, devotees,

and pilgrims of the Blessed Mother in Christ!

October is the month dedicated to the Holy Rosary,

one of the best known Catholic devotions of all.
A perfect prayer because of the praises it offers,
the lessons it teaches, the graces it obtains,
and the virtues it achieves.

Heeding the request of our Holy Father Francis,

as we come to the close of this month,
we are gathered today united in prayer
to ask for the intercession of Our Blessed Mother,
Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary.

Let us now begin this sacred devotion by singing the entrance

song.

Presider: In the name of the Father,

and of the Son,
and of the Holy Spirit.

Commentator: Amen.

Presider: The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ,

born of the Virgin Mother,
and the love of God
and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit
be with you all.

Commentator: And with your Spirit.

Presider: Dear Brothers and Sisters,

we have gathered in joy
as we praise and give thanks
to the Almighty God.
Through the aid and intercession
of the Virgin Mary,
the Mother of Christ and also our Mother,
let us beg that through her maternal
intercession,
God may continuously heed our petitions
and grant upon us the grace
with which we want to receive.

Blessing of Rosaries and Religious Articles:

Presider: Our help is in the Name of the Lord

Commentator: Who made heaven and earth.

Presider: Let us pray…

Almighty and merciful God,
on account of your great love for us,
you willed that your only-begotten Son,
Our Lord Jesus Christ,
should come down from heaven to earth,
and at the angel’s message take flesh
in the most sacred womb of Our Lady,
the Blessed Virgin Mary.

We humbly beg you,

in your boundless goodness to bless +
and to sanctify + these Rosaries
which your faithful church has consecrated
in honor and praise
to the Mother of your Son.

May all those who carry

and keep it in their homes
or devoutly prays to you
while meditating on the divine mysteries,
may fully share in all the graces, privileges,
and indulgences it imparts.

Through our Lord,

Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you
and the Holy Spirit,
God for ever and ever.

Commentator: Amen.

Presider: As children of Mary

and as followers of Christ,
together, we profess our faith.

THE JOYFUL MYSTERIES

Prayer Leader: Trixie Delmiguez

1st Mystery: The Annunciation of Angel Gabriel to Mary

Prayer Intention:

O dear Virgin Mary, we offer to you this first mystery of joy as a

thanksgiving for your love and perpetual help whenever we call
upon you. We turn to you for protection. Listen to our prayers as
we pray for the safety of all women carrying an unborn child at
this time, especially those carrying an unplanned or unwanted
child. At the same time we also ask for your maternal protection
for those in authority who have the responsibility of keeping
themselves and others safe during this pandemic, including
parents and caregivers; business, government, and Church
leaders; and most especially the medical professionals on the
front line and other entities who are advising the public on safety
measures so that like you, Blessed Mother, they may become
handmaids of the Lord willing to do everything according to
God’s word.
Amen.

2nd Mystery: The Visitation of Mary to her cousin Elizabeth
Prayer Intention:

Hail Blessed One, we offer to you this second mystery of joy for
the forgiveness of our sins and salvation of souls. With joyful
hearts, we surrender ourselves to your love. Please offer to God
our contrite hearts as we pray for all who live and work in
nursing homes, rehabilitation centers and hospitals, for the
elderly who cannot receive visits from family members, and that
during this time of fear and uncertainty, we keep in mind the
needs of our neighbors both near and far especially for the sick,
poor, homeless, hungry, and disenfranchised. May we, through
our faithful devotion to you, dear Mother, imitate you in
attending to the needs of others whether it may be physical,
emotional, or spiritual.
Amen.

3rd Mystery: The Nativity of Jesus in Bethlehem

Prayer Intention:
Loving Mother of Jesus, we raise up to you this third mystery of
joy for all the children born into poverty and unhealthy and
unloving family situations. We implore you, inspire in our hearts
a fervent love for those who are suffering in anxiety and fear,
those who are quarantined and are struggling due to this
pandemic, as well as for those who are suffering because of
isolation or, on the opposite end, because of the close presence of
others.

Open our hearts so that we heed God’s call to not be afraid, that
we know we are never alone, that we rest our worries at the foot
of Jesus’ cross, and that we all accept faith over fear or anxiety. By
meditating in this mystery, O Most Holy Virgin Mary, may we
feel your warm embrace despite of the coldness of our welcome.

Amen.

4th Mystery: The Presentation of Jesus in the temple

Prayer Intention:
Most Holy Virgin, Mother of our Lord Jesus Christ: by the
overwhelming grief you experienced like a sword being pierced
in your heart when you witnessed the crucifixion and death of
your Divine Son, look upon us with eyes of compassion as we
offer this fourth mystery of joy for those who are misguided in
darkness, for those families who are in sorrow due to the death of
their beloved, and for all the souls in purgatory. Please help them
find their way to heaven and present them to God. Mother of our
Savior, keep us close to you in every moment of our lives. Obtain
for us, your children, the grace of a happy death; so that in union
with you, we may enjoy the bliss of heaven forever.
Amen.

5th Mystery: The finding of the child Jesus in the temple

O Mary, venerable treasure of the whole universe, support of the true faith,
indestructible temple, our Queen and our Mother, we fly to your motherly
care as we offer this fifth mystery of joy for the Body of Christ, the catholic
Church and for the intentions of the Holy Father, Pope Francis. May we
never tire or pull back in being the light of Jesus for others in our world.
We pray that every baptized person may be engaged in evangelization,
available to the mission, by being witnesses of a life that has the flavor of
the Gospel. Graciously hear also the intentions and prayers of the people
and families who are praying with us. Please whisper to God to grant us
assistance in our life, and other pursuits related to the redemption of our
souls. Turn your eyes of mercy toward us, that we may love God better
and live not for ourselves but for Christ, your Son, so that we may all-
together be in our Father’s house. Amen.

ORATIO IMPERATA
(Prayer for Deliverance from Calamities)

Almighty Father,
we raise our hearts to You in gratitude
for the wonders of creation of which we are part,
for Your providence in sustaining us in our needs,
and for Your wisdom that guides the course of the universe.

We acknowledge our sins against You

and the rest of creation.
We have not been good stewards of Nature.
We have confused Your command to subdue the earth.

The environment is made to suffer our wrongdoing,

and now we reap the harvest of our abuse and indifference.
Global warming is upon us.
Typhoons, floods, volcanic eruption, earthquakes
and other natural calamities occur in increasing number and
intensity.

We turn to You, our loving Father,

and beg forgiveness for our sins.
We ask that we, our loved ones and our hard earned possessions
be spared from the threat of calamities, natural and man-made.
We beseech You to inspire us all
to grow into responsible stewards of Your creation,
and be generous neighbors to those in need.

Amen.

EXHORTATION

Presider: The Lord be with you

People: And with your Spirit.

Presider: Through the intercession

of the Blessed Virgin Mary,
May almighty God bless you,
the Father and the Son
and the Holy Spirit.

People: Amen.
