Edouard Manet
was a French painter born on
January 23, 1832 in Paris, France
and died on April 30, 1883.

Le Dejeuner sur l'Herbe

Manet's composition is influenced by

the Renaissance artist Giorgione and
by Raimondi's engraving of the
Judgment of Paris after Raphael, but
these influences are fractured by his
disregard for perspective and his use
of unnatural light sources.

Olympia
It is the painting of a reclining nude
woman , tended to by a maid while a
black cat (far right) gazes
mysteriously out at the viewer.
Auguste Renoir
was a French artist born on
February 25, 1841 in Limoges,
France and died on December
3,1919.

Bal du moulin de la Galette (“Dance

at the Moulin de la Galette“) is
Renoir's masterpiece.
The scene shows a typical afternoon
at the Moulin de la Galette in the
Paris' Montmartre district.

Luncheon of the Boating Party

It is Renoir's Largest painting.
The painting combines all of the
subjects that Renoir most loved to
paint—still lifes, portraits, and
outdoor scenes. The people in this
painting is mostly Renoir's close
friends which he gathered for the
painting.

visual poetry entirely apart from the
painting's subject.

It is painted on June 1889.
it depicts the view from the east-facing
window of his asylum room at Saint-Rémy-
de-Provence, just before sunrise, with the
addition of an imaginary village

Sunflowers
It is also one of his famous paintings.
It is the name of two series of still
life paintings by the Dutch painter
Vincent van Gogh. The first series,
executed in Paris in 1887, depicts the
flowers lying on the ground, while
the second set, made a year later in
Arles, shows a bouquet of sunflowers
in a vase.
