SMUGGLING THROUGH SEAPORT

August 7, 2018 – A shipment of 355 kilograms of shabu


hidden in magnetic lifters was intercepted at Container

IN 2020
June 3, 2020 – meth lab was dismantled in
Biñan City, Laguna which led in the
confiscation of 1.57 kilos of shabu and
arrest of Samson Tan, a drug chemist.

August 20, 2020 – kitchen type meth lab


was dismantled in Subic, Zambales which
led in the confiscation of different types of
suspected controlled precursors and
essential chemicals (substances used in
the preparation of shabu) and assorted
laboratory equipment.

MEXICAN SINALOA DRUG CARTEL
They are associated with the Chinese Drug Group operating in the
country in order to penetrate the Philippine market.

The arrested member of Mexican Sinaloa Drug


Cartel, HORACIO HERRERA HERNANDEZ, last
January 2015 with seizure of 2.5 kilograms of
cocaine in Makati City was found guilty beyond
reasonable doubt in violation of Section 5, Article
II of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act on
February 13, 2019 in Makati City Regional Trial
Court Branch 63. Acting Presiding Judge Selma
Palacio Alaras sentenced the Mexican national to
life imprisonment and ordered him to pay a fine
of P500,000 to P10 million.

As of now, no monitored update on the Cartel’s


illegal drug activities within the country.
GOLDEN TRIANGLE

The group is involved in large scale production of


methamphetamine in Myanmar and distribute the same in the
Asia Pacific region.

speedboat was discovered along the shoreline
in Palauig, Zambales with 10 kilograms of
