Schools, skills, and learning: the impact of COVID-19 on education this article was authored by

Simon Burggess, who is a an know Professor of Economics in the Economics Department in the
university of Bristol. His co-author in writing this article was Hans Henrik Sievertsen, who is an
economist in the University of Bristol and VIVE. This column or article of them mitigate the negative
impact of COVID-19 on education, for according to them the lockdown of the educational institutions
may cause major interruption in the students learning.

As for my reaction I agree to what they said, because of this Pandemic some countries may or
have decided to close their schools, colleges, and universities. Going to school is what most Filipinos
know to raise one’s skills and ability. In our current situation and it can be seen that our country as per
as the information that the DEPED release to the public we I can say that we are also affected like for
example the numbers of private schools that have decided to temporarily close their school due to the
lack of enrollees. The dilemma the school administrators facing right now is extreme especially on
making their decision and plans for the whole schools, the safety of the students and the teachers may
be put to risk once they open the class.
