COURAGE

I am brave and fight for what I believe in. I face my fears and conquer them. I defend my family and friends from all
dangers. I am valorous on the field of battle – I am the one others want to charge the gates with and to stand with
when the enemy comes.

The LORD is my strength and my shield; in Him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my
song I give thanks to Him. (Psalm 28:7)

DISCIPLINE

I know what the right path is and I follow it without deviation, every single day. I know if I am not getting stronger
then I am getting weaker. I maintain control of my emotions so they do not control me. I seek joy in my work and do
what needs to be done without seeking reward or recognition, because it is the right thing to do for myself and for
others.

For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline. (2 Timothy 1:7)

FAITH

I put my trust in the Lord and serve Him with all my heart, my soul and my strength. I study the Word and pray
regularly to maintain a close relationship with Him. I lead my family in His path and strive to become the greatest
servant of Him I can possibly be.

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of
works, so that no one may boast.   For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God
prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. (Ephesians 2:8-
10)

FORTITUDE

I press on against all odds until my goal is met and my task is finished. I desire to challenge myself daily and to
thrive in adversity. I strengthen my mind and my body for the challenges I will face in life so I can overcome them. I
am patient and steadfast, ready to listen more than speak and never complaining about my own problems.

Share in suffering like a good soldier of Christ Jesus. No soldier gets entangled in civilian pursuits, since his aim is
to please the one who enlisted him. (2 Timothy 2:3-4)

HONOR

I stand by my word and principles, especially when it is inconvenient. I honor myself and my family by keeping my
name pure and honest among society. I am present here and now, living every single day as if it were my last so I
treat the important things in my life accordingly.
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. (1 Corinthians 10:31)

RESPECT

I recognize that today’s foe might be tomorrow’s ally, and I treat everyone with the respect I would want shown to
me. I put others before myself and act with integrity. Even though I may not agree with the ideals or actions of
others, I treat them fairly and with the respect they deserve as a human being.

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one
another.  By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.
(John 13:34-35)

SELF-RELIANCE

I learn skills and grow strong so that I may earn my way in the world and be no burden to others. I prepare for the
challenges of life as if no one will ever help me.

And to aspire to live quietly, and to mind your own affairs, and to work with your hands as we instructed you so that
your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody.
(1 Thesalonnians 4:11-12)

SIMPLICITY

I listen before I speak, and I choose my words carefully. I strive to do more with less, and am spartan in my choice
of possessions. When I speak I say exactly what I mean, and when I act I do exactly what needs to be done. When it
is time to make a decision, I make up my mind and pursue it without hesitation until another decision is to be made.

So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in Him,  rooted and built up in Him,
strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. See to it that no one takes you
captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual
forces of this world rather than on Christ. (Colossians 2:6-8)
