INTERVIEW A SPECIAL EDUCATION ABOUT THEIR CURRICULUM, Special people with special needs are people that must be PROGRAM AND SERVICES, AND WHAT KIND OF STUDENTS THEY treated in a different way. So, in the activity given, we must ask some HAVE. who are educating children with special few questions to teachers needs. There were questions that were asked about how these special education teachers handle, facilitate, and educate children with special indigenes. We interviewed teachers through messenger in a formal way in which would makeHeretheare teachers feel respected. the following The questions: questions were quite practical and on-point about their way of handling students with special wants. The instruments used were the Question 1: What are their challenges they have encounter as SPED teacher?
As a SPED teacher there are many
challenges that they encounter in teaching students with disabilities. The first one is that they have the difficulty of discipline in a Special Needs Classroom. Children with disabilities may have behavioral issues including restlessness and moodiness. They may also exhibit problems like a short attention span or an inability to understand what is being taught. As a Special Education Teachers, they must learn how to deal with these problems as well as how to take appropriate disciplinary measures. They also encounter challenges such as how special education provided for students and must continue at their homes during this pandemic time. And, how to deal parents with multiple disabilities.
Question 2: What are the disadvantages and advantages as a SPED teacher?
ADVANTAGES AS A SPED TEACHER
As the teachers says, the advantages of being a Special Education Teachers is you always learn and continue to grow with your students, even though you are not well compensated but if you have a heart and passion of teaching then your students have a great progress. As a SPED Teacher, that is one of a great fulfillments that a teacher can have a joyful teaching. When Special Education Teachers go to work each day, they know that they are making difference in the lives of children. First, is to help children and teens to everything from self-care skill to academics, special education teachers help those children build a brighter future. Second, by assisting special children, knowing that they are doing meaningful work, so they can feel good about what they do and the contributions they are making to society. DISADVANTAGES AS A SPED TEACHER Special education teachers often face very stressful days full of more than one problem or conflict. Because they work with students who have emotional and behavioral disabilities, special education teachers may face student’s meltdowns, tantrums, and other uncontrollable behaviors. They may face all of those stressors on top of massive amounts of paperwork required by the administration and criticism from other staff or administrative professionals who do not understand theories related to special education. Question 3: In times of pandemic, what are your learning modality/programs that you provided to your students who have special needs.
According to the responses, a comprehensive
program that given to students to continue their learning during this pandemic time they have modular-printed modality and online distance learning known as blended learning to be well supporter in their education with supervision of parents and guardians. The curriculum that they were
using was based on MELCS, KINDERGARTEN, because there is no curriculum for SPED. NOTE: EVERYONE IS PARTICIPATING IN THIS GROUP ACTIVITY.
