Performance of Computer System Servicing Students in Statistics

Abstract

The study dealt with the Different performance in Statistics of

Computer System Servicing Students. The respondents of this were the
students of Iligan City National High School specifically the Grade 11
students or basically the Senior High students. Utilizing existing records
serves as an in instrument used in this study. The researcher use
purposive sampling in which the researcher will have its own judgement
to choose a specific respondent to participate in the study . The
researcher concluded that there are different performances of students in
Statistics in compute system servicing boys and girls, some performance
of the students are quite good while some performance are not.

Introduction

A hypothesis test is a statistical test that is used to determine whether

there is enough evidence in a sample of data to infer that a certain condition is
true for the entire population. A hypothesis test examines two opposing
hypotheses about a population: the null hypothesis and the alternative
hypothesis. The null hypothesis is the statement being tested. Usually the null
hypothesis is a statement of "no effect" or "no difference". The alternative
hypothesis is the statement you want to be able to conclude is true. [ 1 ]
According to Taylor , C. (2014) there are a few different methods used to
conduct hypothesis tests. One of these methods is known as the traditional
method. The steps of these two most common methods are identical up to a
point, then diverge slightly. Hypothesis testing is the core of the scientific
method. This study tackles about conducting a hypothesis to determine
whether the difference in students performance in statistics of computer
system servicing boys and girls is significant. In this study it indicates the
performances of computer system servicing boys and girls. This study aimed to
find whether their is a difference in students performance in Statistics of
computer system servicing boys and girls.

Objectives

The study aims to determine the following:

1. To test the hypothesis in order to differentiate the students performance

in Statistics of computer system servicing boys and girls
2. To test the hypothesis that the average grade of girls is greater than 83
3. To test the hypothesis that the average grade of boys is greater than 85
4. To test the relationship between grade and gender
5. To test the relationship between the grades of boys and girls

Methods

This study consist different methods in gathering the data. Utilizing existing
record serve as an Instrument in this study. The research locale will be the
school of Iligan City National High School. The respondents of this study are
the Senior High School Students. This study will use purposive sampling in
which the researcher relies on his or her own judgement when choosing n to
participate in the study. The instrument being used in the study will be
expected to use independent mean, chi-square and correlation. With all this
method, the study will provide all the supported statements aiming to answer
whether the give statement is reasonable or not.

Results

1. To test the hypothesis test in order to differentiate the students

performance in Statistics of computer system servicing boys and girls.

Summary
This study signifies the different grades of senior high school
students in Iligan City National High School. The respondents of the
study are the Grade 11 students of Iligan City National High School.
Utilizing existing record serves as an instrument given by the researcher.
The researcher use Independent mean, chi-square and correlation as a
method. In this study the researcher has applied the steps in hypothesis
testing to solve the given problems. Different kinds of formulas and
number of cases are used in this study. The researcher survey the Grade
11 students or the senior high school students to be exact many of the
have different performances in Statistics. The researcher conducted test
to determine their independent means, chi-square and correlation to get
their results.

Conclusion

Based on the gathered data, the researcher concluded that there

are different performances of students in Statistics in compute system
servicing boys and girls, some performance of the students are quite
good while some performance are not.

Recommendation

In the view of the findings and conclusions of the study, the following
recommendations were drawn:

 To the Parents
That they may allow their children to involve in sports activities for a
better understanding. That they may provide background information about
sports activities to their children.

 To the members
That they may provide the financial support and convinced to involve in
sports activities as a way of a healthy life style.
 To the Future Researchers
That they may conduct future researchers related to sports. They may
come up with more information about the sports and activities and how do the
people interact with each other in the said sports they joined.
