CHAPTER V

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS, CONCLUSIONS, AND RECOMMENDATIONS

This chapter presents the findings, conclusions, and recommendations of

the study.

The Statment of the Problem

1.What are the respondents’ profiles in terms of:

1.1 age,

1.2 sex, and

1.3 genre of comics

2. What are the influences of fanfic novels to the knowledge acquisition of the

respondent?

3. Is there any significant difference on the influence of fanfic novels to the

knowledge acquisition of the respondents in terms of

3.1. sex

3.2. age

3.3 . genre of comics

4. Is there a significant relationship between the influence of fanfic novels to the

knowledge acquisition and respondents profile in terms of

4.1. sex

4.2 . age

4.3. genre of comics

Summary of the findings

The gathered data were analyzed and the following findings were sought:

1.Out of the 251 respondents, most of them were in the age range of 15-16 years

old which composed of 119 (44.9%). Only 12 (33.85%) respondents were in the

age range 17 above with 12 (4%),In terms of sex, there were more female

respondents than male.

163 (61.50%) were females while 102 (38.49%) were males. In genre of comics,

most of the respondents are on the average Romance which composed of 65

(24.52%), while there were only 18 (6.79%) that read Historical fiction. This

finding implies that most of the respondents read Romance.

2. Most of the respondents acquired knowledge from reading E-comics with the

highest means of 3.86 and 3.78. However, most of them chose I can easily

construct informative, persuasive, and argumentative sentences with the mean of

3.58 and 3.56.

3. There is a significant difference on the knowledge acquisition to the genre of

comics of the respondents in terms of age and age. Therefore, the alternative

hypothesis is accepted. However in genre of comics, there is no significant

difference. Therefore, the alternative hypothesis is rejected.

Conclusions

Based on the findings,E-comics proves that it is reliable on improving ones

vocabulary to the respondents. It also serves as a secondary source of words

when you need to have an alternate way of improvng ones language and

perspective. It also helps a students when they feel tired or bored and gives them

a new medium of knowledge. It also concludes that the students can easily

construct simple sentences. however there are still some respondents that are

having problems in constructing complicated essays.

Recommendations

On the light of the findings of the study, the researchers offered the

following recommendations:

1. The students, should use their learnings in reading webcomics so that they

can construct complicated sentences.

2.The Parents,should monitor your children in order to find out if the webcomic

that they are reading is suitable for their age.

3.The teachers, should help the students in understading the complicated words

so that they may use it in their own vocabulary and sentences .

4. The future researchers, who want to divulge on this topic, may focus on the

age of the students and what genre of comics they read.
