Beautiful Things Band

All this pain

I wonder if I'll ever find my way
I wonder if my life could really change, at all Oh, you make beautiful things
You make beautiful things out of the dust
All this earth You make beautiful things
Could all that is lost ever be found? You make beautiful things out of us
Could a garden come out from this ground, at
all? You make me new
You are making me new
You make beautiful things You make me new,
You make beautiful things out of the dust You are making me new
You make beautiful things (Making me new)
You make beautiful things out of us
You make beautiful things
All around, You make beautiful things out of the dust
Hope is springing up from this old ground You make beautiful things
Out of chaos life is being found, in you You make beautiful things out of us

You make beautiful things Oh, you make beautiful things

You make beautiful things out of the dust You make beautiful things out of the dust
You make beautiful things You make beautiful things
You make beautiful things out of us You make beautiful things out of us

Invitatory Will J.
Officiant: Lord, open our lips.
People: And our mouth shall proclaim your praise.
All: Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit:
as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be for ever. Amen.
Alleluia.
Psalm 100 Will J.
Be joyful in the Lord, all you lands; *
serve the Lord with gladness
and come before his presence with a song.
Know this: The Lord himself is God; *
He himself has made us, and we are his;
we are his people and the sheep of his pasture.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving;
go into his courts with praise; *
give thanks to him and call upon his Name.
For the Lord is good;
his mercy is everlasting; *
and his faithfulness endures from age to age.

A Reading from the Gospel of Mark Julia Clark

From that time on, Jesus began to show his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and
undergo great suffering at the hands of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed,
and on the third day be raised. And Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him, saying,
‘God forbid it, Lord! This must never happen to you.’ But he turned and said to Peter, ‘Get
behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling-block to me; for you are setting your mind not on
divine things but on human things.’

Then Jesus told his disciples, ‘If any want to become my followers, let them deny themselves
and take up their cross and follow me. For those who want to save their life will lose it, and
those who lose their life for my sake will find it. For what will it profit them if they gain the
whole world but forfeit their life? Or what will they give in return for their life?

‘For the Son of Man is to come with his angels in the glory of his Father, and then he will
repay everyone for what has been done. Truly I tell you, there are some standing here who
will not taste death before they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom.’

The Apostles’ Creed Ethan Scott

All: I believe in God, the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord.
He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit
and born of the Virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried.
He descended to the dead.
On the third day he rose again.
He ascended into heaven,
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
The resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen.

The Prayers Julia D.

The Lord’s Prayer

Officiant: The Lord be with you.
People: And also with you.
Officiant: And now, as Christ has taught us, let us pray.
All: Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy Name,
thy kingdom come, thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, and the power,
and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen.

A Collect for Saturdays

Almighty God, who after the creation of the world rested from all your works and
sanctified a day of rest for all your creatures: Grant that we, putting away all earthly
anxieties, may be duly prepared for the service of your sanctuary, and that our rest
here upon earth may be a preparation for the eternal rest promised to your people in
heaven; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
A Collect for Mission
Almighty and everlasting God, by whose Spirit the whole body of your faithful people
is governed and sanctified: Receive our supplications and prayers which we offer
before you for all members of your holy Church, that in their vocation and ministry
they may truly and devoutly serve you; through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Amen.
