Description [MJ8 is a general purpose, high sensitivity, mult-voltage instrument for heavy duty insulation and resistance testing. It ganerates three test voltages from 260 V to 1000 V dc. Range selection is by a rotary switch which has a discharge. postion for safe testing of eapacitive circuits. The test voltages are derived from a hand-cranked generator, indication being iven by an Evershed cross-colls movement. Each movement is individually Calibrated, requires no setting-up and is designed for ong term accuracy. Small ‘oltage variations da not affect the readings.
