DISTRIBUCIÓN FÍSICA INTERNACIONAL (DFI),

International physical distribution is the group of operations essential to

move cargo from a point of origin to a destination. Known by its acronym
DFI, it is the logistics process that is developed around placing a product on
the international market complying with the terms negotiated between the
seller and the buyer. Its main objective is to minimize the time, costs and risk
that may be generated during the journey, from the point of departure at
origin to the point of delivery at destination. For this to be possible, the
intervention of a number of trade actors is needed. For example: exporters,
logistics operators, customs agents, transport, ports of origin and
destination and importers. For this, the necessary times are used, evaluated
reduced costs, a strategy compatible with the budget, and policies according
to the needs of the company and of the clients EL DFI is related to the entire
movement of the product and this involves the legal, logistical, control,
transportation aspects, among others. Without one of these factors fails, the
merchandise could not reach its final recipient, which in most cases is the
customer. For this reason, professionals capable of ensuring the
optimization and management of physical distribution are needed.

Advantages: lower rates, mass transport of large volumes, diversity and

specialization of ships, it has no restrictions for dangerous products.
Disadvantages: low speed, insurance and more expensive packaging, port
costs, high risks of looting and deterioration, more widely spaced
frequencies.

International transport, also known as main transport, is responsible for

crossing borders and delivering the products in the destination country. It is
the backbone of the DFI's operations, and depending on the negotiated
Incoterms, it defines the shipment route and delivery to the buyer.

conclusion

We could conclude by saying that the advantages and

disadvantages of costs in International Physical Distribution For
any company that wants to export one of the options that must
control are those of international transport and distribution in the
destination market

These costs are normally high, generating an extra cost in the

product that the consumer finally pays for. Therefore, it is
understandable that in a product different actors can intervene
from its production chain to the distribution chain
