MODULE 3
LESSON 3.5
LEARNING TASK
A. Reflect on Stephen Hawking’s words. As a teacher, how will you help your physically-impaired students
to not become “disabled in spirit”?

“My advice to other disabled people would be, concentrate on things your disability doesn’t prevent you
doing well, and don’t regret the things interferes with. Don’t be disabled in spirit, as well as physically.”
-Stephen Hawking.
The most beautiful thing in this life is that, the acceptance of who we are and being contented for what
we have, either it is better or worse. The important thing is how we will go to make it worth fighting for
while believing ourselves that we can make it. I will help my physically-impaired students to not
become “Disabled in spirit” by making them believed in themselves first, that every desire we want to
be real despite our disabilities, can be possible if humility, Patience and strong faith in God will be
practiced and applied, it will become the start of prolonging the confidence of not to become disabled in
spirit.
