MANAGEMENT

ACTIVITY
TASK 1
 As a citizen in your own barangay what have you contributed for the
benefit of your barangay. Write your answer and to be noted by your
barangay captain.

I am living in my barangay for years now and I cannot recall much of what
have I contributed that benefited the barangay. But I think, by being a
responsible citizen is what I have been doing. One of my responsibilities as a
citizen is by cleaning the road where our house is located nearby. It may be a
small thing to do yet I help the barangay in a way of preserving and
cleanliness. On the other hand, since the pandemic started, restrictions were
implemented and it is difficult to help that much in the barangay because I
was unvaccinated.

barangay, as people come and gather to pray and attend mass. And church activities
are made for people especially the young ones. Helping in such activities by inspiring
young children and help them become more active when it comes to activities in the
church.
3. Planting trees. It is a great thing to do since planting trees do help the
environment and gives fresh air. To achieve this, getting a seed that has grown is a
must. Find a spot in the house or as indicated by the barangay then plant it.
4. Help in barangay programs. There are many barangay programs
implemented but choosing what specific program will spend time as volunteer would
be less hassle. Then help in assisting, handling or whatever possible.
5. Cleaning. Cleanliness starts at home. Cleaning the surroundings to the side

TASK 5
IN YOUR OWN WORDS give the summary of the movie ‘A CIVIL ACTION’.
The motion picture begins off with effective lawyer, Jan Schlictmann, and his
conceited cash crazed bunch of legal counselors, counting Kevin Conway, James
Gordon and Charge Crowley, who are all as it were inquisitive about the potential
dollar signs behind their cases. Their fiscally driven inspiration begins to alter as the
group takes on a major case speaking to numerous families, in a provincial zone of
Massachusetts, whose children passed on of leukemia. Jan’s legitimate contention
was that the passings of these casualties were the result of water contamination by a
tannery possessed by two huge enterprises, W.R. Beauty and Beatrice
Nourishments, which had been dumping a harmful mechanical dissolvable into the
water table of Woburn, Massachusetts for over a decade. Although the companies
Schlictmann’s firm was attempting to sue were considerably affluent, the case
bankrupted Jan and the rest of his hone along the way, both actually and
professionally. Indeed, in spite of the fact that their claim held a really compelling
case against both the companies, they were as it were able to reach a settlement
with one of them, W.R. Beauty. Beatrice Nourishments, spoken to by Jerome
Fascher, was not held accountable to settle. Afterward within the film, Jan finds basic
data demonstrating that both companies were blameworthy, but does not have the
time or the assets to request the case in court. Since of his assurance for the truth,
he sends the case and all his work, to the EPA, which inevitably sues both
companies, effectively, and makes them resolve the issue causing the cancer.

Jan isn't interested since he does not see sufficient budgetary remunerate
coming about from this case to warrant his time. This scene embodies the topic of
course pressures since effective and taught, Jan Schlichtmann, does not care for the
destitute, the citizens of Woburn, since there's nothing in it for him. This division of
classes is assist depicted in those influenced by the water emergency. Those who
seem bear to live exterior of Woburn had clean water, whereas those without
monetary implies lived inside Woburn and expended the polluted water. Another
major topic within the film relating to water is the common good. Although Jan, at to
begin with, was essentially concerned with taking after the cash path, he changes all
through the film as he chooses the guardians have a ethical case and needs equity
for the families and the individuals of Woburn. For Jan, this case is almost settling
the water emergency for the common great of all the individuals, in spite of the reality
he inevitably gets to be bankrupt. Usually apparent as Schlictmann requests for
recompense of the influenced families, as well as stipend to clean the environment.
This topic can too assist be seen when Jan turns down a 20-million-dollar settlement
from Mr. Fascher. In spite of the fact that Jan required the emolument, he may not
ethically acknowledge it since the water problem still would not be illuminated, and
so, nothing would be done for the common great. Typically, a capable topic because
it appears somebody who was at first driven by cash, alter and be driven by the
common great in arrange to redress a genuine water danger. Clearly, topics related
to water were regularly seen all through the motion picture.

The take domestic message, seen by the conclusion of the motion picture, is
how one measures victory. Within the starting of the film, Mr. Schlichtmann as it
were cared approximately the foot dollar in his stash. In any case, over the course of
the film, as he speaks to the families of Woburn, Jan changes his attitude as he
realizes there's more to life than cash. This could be clearly caught on at the
conclusion of the film when he is contending with his law accomplice, James
Gordon, expressing, “This isn’t approximately cash anymore.” This evolution, within
the state of mind of Jan Schlichtmann, is what is most compelling within the story
and is what the gathering of people recollects the foremost after the credits roll.
