Theme: Describing my vacations.
Aim: Encouraging conversation about vacations to practice travel related vocabulary.
Indicator: The student makes a description of their past vacations using the vocabulary seen in
class.

Direct instruction: Greetings and prayer time. Write the Agenda. Don`t forget the classroom
routines. Check Assistance.
Introduce the topic of vacations by telling about one of your favorite vacations.
Ask students to come up with different types of vacation activities and write these on the
board.
Guided Instruction:
Review with the students the vocabulary used for vacations, and give them examples of
how to make an essay describing one.

Help the students with questions such as:
- Which sentence best describes your feelings towards vacations? Why?
- Which type of travel do you think you would like the best? Why?
- How often do you take short trips (two or three days)?
- Who do you prefer to take vacations with? Why?
- What type of vacation activity sounds like the most fun? Why?
Independent practice:
The students write on their notebooks an essay describing their vacations and make a
drawing about it.

Aim: The student uses grammatical propositions such as instead, and expresses his
desires politely to communicate in a restaurant.
Indicator: Work centers by implementing grammar topics.

The teacher explains to the students the use of “Instead”. Instead basically means "in the place
of" or "alternatively".
It can be used as a Prepositional Phrase or as an adverb.
