PRONOUNS, POSSESSIVE PRONOUN & ADJECTIVE, REFLEXIVE PRONOUN

A. Pengertian
Pronoun adalah kata ganti untuk kata benda (Noun). Dalam Bahasa Indonesia disebut kata ganti orang.
Pronoun merupakan salah satu dari “PART OF SPEECH”(Jenis Kata).
Pronoun secara garis besar dikelompokkan menjadi 4 jenis :
1. Subject (Subjek) : Pelaku 4. Possessive Pronoun : Kata ganti milik
2. Object (Objek) : dikenai tindakan 5. Reflexive Pronoun : Diri sendiri
3. Possessive Adjective : Kata ganti milik

B. Jenis-jenis Pronoun
1. Subject
Posisi dalam kalimat adalah di awal kalimat atau sebelum predikat atau kata kerja (KK/Verb)

Contoh :

6. They go to school by bikes.
7. It eats meat.

2. Object
Posisi dalam kalimat adalah sesudah kata kerja (KK/Verb) atau predikat

 3. Possessive Adjective (Kata Ganti milik)
Adalah kata ganti milik yang harus diikuti kata benda (noun), tidak bisa berdiri sendiri.

Contoh :

4. Possessive Pronoun (Kata Ganti Milik)

Adalah kata ganti milik yang berdiri sendiri, bisa sebagai subjek dan objek dalam kalimat.

Contoh :
1. It is mine. (Objek) 5. It is hers. (Objek)

3. That is yours. (Objek) 7. This house is ours.
4. Yours is over there. (Subjek) 8. That farms are theirs.

5. Reflexive Pronoun. (-self/-selves)

Reflexive Pronouns berfungsi menjelaskan sesuatu yang dilakukan kepada diri sendiri.
Reflexive Pronouns juga dapat digunakan sebagai objek langsung atau tak langsung dengan syarat objek
dan subjeknya sama.
