Chapter I
Introduction

1.1 Background
Education is a conscious and planned effort to create a learning
atmosphere and learning process so that students actively develop
their potential to have religious spiritual strength, self-control,
personality, intelligence, noble character, and skills needed by
themselves, society, nation and state. With the Covid-19 outbreak, the
government has started making regulations not to meet other people,
reducing crowds. So that schools also have to follow regulations from
the government and enforce Online Learning or what is often called
PJJ. This is the latest learning method which may be very difficult to
adapt for students.
With this Online learning, schools rely on existing technology to
fulfill teaching and learning activities. Here the impact of the impact
is very much both from teachers, students, schools, parents,
government, to facilities or electronic companies. There are many
impacts, both positive and negative.
1.2 Goal
This paper was created with the aim of
 Knowing the impact of the impact on many parties related to
Online Learning.
 Create new experiences and learnings for life in the future.
Chapter II
Content

2.1 Understanding Online Learning

According to Dohmen (1997) Online Learning is a form
of independent learning that is systematically organized in which
counseling, presentation of learning materials, and supervision
and monitoring of student learning success are carried out by a
group of teaching staff who have different responsibilities.
Learning is carried out remotely using the help of media. The
opposite of the distance education system is direct or face-to-face
education, a learning system that occurs because of direct contact
between teachers and students.
2.2 Principles of Online Learning
Many principles exist in Online Learning, including:
 Principle of Independence
 Flexibility Principle
 The Recency Principle
 Conformity Principle
 Mobility Principles
 Efficiency Principle
2.3 Impact of Online Learning for Students
There are so many impacts that students get from good impacts to
bad impacts. The bad impact is
 The number of student dropping out of school will
increase, because many student do not have money so they
prefer to drop out of school than to buy gadgets.
 Disturbances to students both eyes and mental. Many
students wear glasses because they are constantly faced
with screens and also mentally disturbed because they are
used to meeting virtual student will be awkward and also
afraid to meet people in person.
 Abusing technology. Existing technology is provided to
fulfill student's learning, but not a few student use the
technology to play games, so the initial goal is not met.
The positive impact in this Online Learning is
 Student must learn more about technology, this is very
influential for the future so that student can create more
advanced technology in the future.
 Creative learning methods, during online learning the
learning methods offered are also very varied so they don't
make students bored, such as online quizzes and other
kinds
 Student have a lot of time for family, sometimes when
offline school student will be busy with the school world
so they forget about family but because they are online
and at home student become closer to their families.
2.4 Impact of Online Learning for Parents
Many impacts are also caused by online learning to
parents, for example, parents must be able to meet the needs of
student's online schools, ranging from gadgets such as cellphones
to laptops and that requires a large additional cost and also from
daily needs such as internet data or high Wi-Fi cost is needed in
this online learning. And the most advantageous thing for parents
is that they can meet their children 24 hours a day, making it easy
to monitor and communicate.
2.5 Impact of Online Learning for Government
It is not only parents and student who are affected, but the
government also gets the impact. The government must find a
way to prevent the increasing number of out-of-school student.
The trick is to provide facilities for students. During this
pandemic the government provided free internet data for the
student and also for the teachers. Recently the government has
discussed giving laptops to students and also to teachers.
2.6 Impact of Online Learning for the Surrounding Facility
Industry
With this pandemic, the electronics industry is increasing,
due to the large demand for the goods provided. The electronics
industry has experienced an increase in the amount of production
and also profits that may increase dramatically compared to
before. So that a lot of new brands have sprung up to compete
with well-known brands to make as much profit as possible.

3.1 Conclusion
Based on this paper, can be concluded that this pandemic is not
always detrimental, there are also many positive impacts that come
from this pandemic. Our views are commonly negative and we
always complaining, so the positive impacts of this pandemic are like
being masked by the negative impacts. The online learning does not
completely have a negative impact. With online learning the teachers
become more creative in providing subject matter. Students are also
invited to be creative so that learning is more fun and not boring. Stay
focused on online learning and keep fighting to wait for this online
learning to finish and return to offline learning.
3.2 Reflection
From this paper we learn, that many people there are affected by
this online learning. Not only us but many people, especially our
parents who provide facilities for us to learn. Spending money that
may not be small, as well as the government who spends a lot of
money so that students in Indonesia can meet the quota for studying.
The question is, are we still abusing our gadgets? Are we making
good use of the facilities provided?
3.3 Closing

Online Learning. Thank you.
