Learning Task #1a

1.) For Craig Twyford consider Tom Harrison as “World’s greatest ever people watcher” because he
looks with different kind of intensity. When he trying to learn other people, he engages himself to that
people culture and lived with them. Tom Harrison understands the tradition and rituals of the big
number because of his intensity by immersing himself to them.

2.) I do agree because we can’t distinguish a person characteristic by looking at them. We need to know
their lifestyle, the way they interact with people, and their mindset. We can also understand a person by
talking with them or watching them 24hrs. However, the best thing to learn more about to a person is
by engaging yourself to them and be with them, just like what Tom Harrison did. That’s why I don’t
agree that a person can be understand just by judgement or first impression to them.

3.) Mass Observation is a network of volunteers from people walks of life down the country who
recorded their everyday lives action, thoughts, worries, aspirations in a diary. I think the social media
platform that I can compare it is twitter. Twitter is a famous app for most youth by expressing and
tweeting their thoughts, worries, rants, and happiness through this app. Since I am one of the people
who is using it, by this app, twitter, I can know other people day if it is a great or worst since they are
tweeting it to their twitter account. However, twitter is a multipurpose app since it is the best platform
for gossip, news, and daily lives update.

4.) We can’t easily distinguish a person by knowing just their voice. However, if we saw them, we can
easily determine their person because of the clothes, hair, face, and shape through our eyes. This
explains how visual clues are more valuable than verbal ones you can easily pick out its visual difference.
