6. Guess who approach

- In this approach a teacher will present personality types word or questions to students and then
they will list the names of the classmates who they think best fit the personality. Students will
based their answer on their observation towards their classmates’ personalities or behavior.

Example question:

Who is the most willing to work with others? Students will analyze their classmates’ personalities
and then they will list the name of the classmate who they think is the most willing to work with
others.

7. Sociometric Approach

- This approach is somewhat the same with the Guess who approach. They both require students
to list the names of their classmates. The difference is that this approach is based on interaction or
your relationship with your classmates and two important aspects are needed for this approach.
Those are criterion and sociogram. Criterion is used to evaluate the students and after evaluating,
the results of the criterion will be collected and will be organized in the sociogram. Moreover, the
questions or the criterion for this approach can contain positive and negative.

We have examples here:

If you will observe the first three questions are positive and the last two are negative.

Since the questions asked students to rate their classmates, the results for sociometric approach
and also for guess who approach usually remain confidential.

After answering the criterion the results are tabulated and sociogram are created.

This is an example of a sociogram.

Our example situation here is students were asked choose two classmates who they want to have
as partners in an activity.

Based on the results, the teacher may reflect the relationships of the students and their
interactions with each other. They can also use the results in making decisions in the classroom.

These are the references that we used.

That’s all for our presentation. Thank you for bearing with us! I’ll now give the floor to our dearest
professor, Professor Mark Alfred Regalario.
