Activity#2
Time to look around. Answer the following question.

1. What different subcultures do you observe in your school? Does it employ positive or negative
effects?
A school subculture can be described as a group of pupils who share similar behaviors and
views on schooling. They are often a response to how pupils feel they have been labelled by
teachers and can be both positive and negative. Paul Willis's 'Learning to Labor' is a classic study
within this field.
First our students of BatStateU are known as the Spartans our students are a person of great
courage and self-discipline. Also, though we are from different Municipality with different
cultures that we obey still as a student we have one goal, one culture which is to be successful and
to be professionals that one goal is to help our fellow Batanguenio’s. it employs positive effect
because here in Batangas Discrimination is not Allowed.

2. Among the four given teaching cultures which is most appropriate your school? Why?
As per as I observed Most of professors works in collaboration. For my two years at the
university I could say that we cannot be united as one if we observed in our superiors that they are
not united as a team.As a result, we also student learning from collaborations of ideas during
classes also the achievement that they could have is a brought of collaborative efforts as a result,
we Spartans make it possible to be on top of different competencies of each course that they
offered.
3. How do structures in your school affects school culture. How does school culture affects the
structure?
First and for-most if the structure of the school are having one goal, mutual understanding,
supportive learning environment and high level of family and community involvement etc. I
assure you the school could give undeniably great products of different courses as per as
achievement of the school. Also if that is what the students see and observe there probably no
reason for them to make decision that could give negative impact from their self to school and
vice-verse.
