1. A unique activity in carrying out a wedding procession in Cikarang, Bekasi, Jawa
Barat
In Sundanese custom, Sundanese people still use the “Upacara Sawer Pengantin”
When the Sawer Pengantin procession was about to begin, the community or invited
guests had gathered in front of the aisle without any further orders.
Usually the bride and groom will throw some coins, paper money, various potpourri,
betel leaf, white rice and candy.
According to the beliefs of the Sundanese they named it the source of blessing. Even
some people believe, the objects that are seen by the bride and groom can be easily
matched. These saweran objects are prepared by the bride and groom. It is said that
the di sawer object can affect their domestic life in the future.
Nyawer comes from the word "Awer" or a bucket of liquid that can be splashed.
However, another opinion says that it comes from the writing of the Bagbagan book
"Sundanese Sawer Poetry" which explains that the word Nyawer comes from
"Penyaweran" or a place that is often exposed to rain water that falls from the roof of
the house.
From this understanding, it is associated with the continuation of the sawer being
carried out in the yard, while the splashes of water are objects that are sacrificed.
Each object that is thrown means a prayer for us, such as blessings, hope, the
sweetness of life and a long-lasting marriage,"
There are also those who use betel. The meaning of betel is a prayer so that the bride
and groom always live in harmony and understand each other.
The variety of vocabulary that slips from the mouths of the Cikarang, Bekasi people is
quite unique. Many of them are not in the Big Indonesian Dictionary. You see, the
language that is often spoken by the people of Bekasi is influenced by Sundanese,
Central Javanese speech, and a little Betawi accent.

1. Ribedh Bangedh
You must like to hear the words “Et it’s already complicated…. So RIBEDH
BANGEDH” haha, surely you like to hear when people in Bekasi say words ending in
“t” are replaced with consonant clusters “dh”. For example, sakidh is more severe
than illness. Another example is “Orang yang pelidh pasti kuburannya sempidh” The
sentence means, “a person who is too stingy, his grave must be very small”

2. Bae
If you say this word very often, right, if you want Sundanese, Javanese, definitely
like to say bae, just so you know, the word bae is in America, especially on the West
Coast, the word “bae” is used as a word. Replace “loved ones”. Yes, slang on the
West Coast call their bebeb “bae”. Meanwhile in Bekasi, the word “bae” is usually
used to replace the word “saja” or “doang”. An example of its use, “ udah jangan
ribedh, pilih gua bae!”

3. Diantepin
Have you ever felt neglected by someone? Your existence is not considered by
others? In Bekasi, this is known as "diantepin". The word does not only apply to
people or living things, inanimate objects can also be "diantepin". For example, in the
sentence, "Udah gua sajiin kue kok diantepin bae"
 4. Awang
Have you ever heard the Bekasi people say awang when they are lazy? Awang ah.
These words may like to make those of us who don't know what they are with a
serious face.. because it's true what Bekasi people say is a planet with unique
vocabulary, awang kata penggantinya malas.

5. Gak Danta
“Lu gambar apasi gak danta banget dah” The short conversation was usually made by
people from Bekasi who said the same thing. If you don’t hear the same thing, you
just hear it blankly, Gak danta itu diartikan sebagai kata gak jelas.

6. Goroh
Goroh if in Bekasi it means bohong! “Goroh mulu lu orangnya” usually these words
come out to people who can’t be trusted.. so if someone says goroh it’s a sign that you
like lying.

7. Purik
Very often these words come out of a pair of lovers.. people in Bekasi if their
girlfriend is angry, she will definitely say something like “purik mulu kamu mah”
Purik means sulking.

8. Ilok Ah
Usually Bekasi children if they don't believe it, like to say "Ilok ah neng?" it doesn't
mean you like lying, if you talk about it, there must be one of your friends saying
"ilok ah... terus terus bagaimana lagi dah itu kok bisa begitu? " ilok ah sendiri
memiliki makna yang artinya masa sih? So the word ilok is the culmination of
seriousness when you're telling a story..

9. Jember
This word is usually used for people who like to play dirty “Jember gua mah kesono
belok bangedh dah jalannya.” It’s funny when Bekasi people say it.. Jember means
dirty/ugly/disgusted.

10. Bader
For a naughty child, usually people who are more mature will say something like this
to the person below them, “et dahh ... bader bangedh dah tuh bocah” is usually the one
who likes to say that among mothers, bader means bandel.

loudly that means the customer gives a code to the waiter to call the waiter that the
customer wants to order food, add to the order or something else so that the waiter
will approach the customer

• An elderly woman dresses entirely in black. it means the old woman is grieving or
wants to visit a relative who has died, this black dress symbolizes sadness and
empathy for someone's death.
• A young man dresses entirely in black means he wants to increase his handsomeness
level because black clothes can increase a man’s ‘handsomeness’ level in the eyes of
women. Black clothes are not only suitable to wear when mourning, men who like
black have a personality with a serious demeanor. This of course makes him a person
who will be serious and don’t want to play games when he is in a relationship with his
partner.
