Hot Summer Day

After a very long very long day of School, I was eager to get out of class. I ran through

the hallways like as though there was burning hot coal beneath my feet. When I was near the

door, I looked up and saw freedom coming right at me. But once I opened the door, I felt the hot

humid air trying to strangle me as I clasped for air. Soon after, I grasped some air and started my

journey back home. The humid air was a heavy anvil sitting on my neck. I could barely even

walk home. I could feel the sweat running down my body trying to fight against the heat.

Furthermore, the odour from my armpits were so strong that I could’ve fainted onto the dry

ground. The sizzling summer sun accompanied me throughout my hellish walk home. As I got

closer and closer to my home, I could feel a sense of relief but couldn’t give up in order to reach

The Promise land. As I was about to rush into my home, I felt a burned-out bumblebee laying

there dead due to the extreme heat outside. Once I opened my fronted door, I could feel the cold

air wrapping around me and giving me a nice cool hug. My house was like a soldier protecting

me against the sun. Soon after I arrived home, I went to my freezer to get the ice cream

container. Once I opened my freezer, I could hear a loud endless sound from it. Soon after I

grabbed the cold hard container to place onto the counter and cold condensed air came out as I

opened the ice cream container. My mouth was in a hurry to eat the ice cream but my sister came

and spoiled the entire show
