A. Answer the following questions (20 points)

1. What is the right mindset of a teacher in using digital tools?
Answer: The right mindset of a teacher in using digital tools should be that the teacher must
only see digital tools as an assistant for his/her teaching process and not as a replacement for
him/her as a teacher. This mindset is very important because it sets limitations to the educators
on how much should they be using technology in the process of teaching, in this way the teacher
can boost-up his/her pedagogy with the assistant of the modern digital tools that we have been
using today without omitting his/her performance in teaching back before when he/she is not
using digital tools. In addition, a teacher is very known for his/her accountability in what he/she
teaches to his/her students and that’s why digital tools cannot replace a human teacher because
only a person can deliver teaching with affection and passion and no mere technology can
replace this.
2. Why should modern teachers need not necessarily be experts in technology but should
rather be experts of the habits of the mind?
Answer: Modern teachers don’t necessarily need to be an expert when it comes to technology
but they are in great need in mastering the habits of the mind because modern teachers will
eventually face changes in their teaching and their students, and this means encountering
conflicts in their fields. We should know that technology can’t help every conflicts and difficulty
a teacher can experience but having an expertise of how you intelligently manage these problems
with the use of good attitude and rich experience or in short, having the habits of the mind can
greatly propel a teacher in solving his/her modern conflicts.
