INCLUSION
The term inclusion captures, in one word, an all-
embracing societal ideology. Regarding individuals with
disabilities and special education, inclusion secures
opportunities for students with disabilities to learn
alongside their non-disabled peers in general education
classrooms.

...
The principle behind inclusion is
that all children should be educated
together, and the supports and
services should follow the child into
the setting they would attend if they
didn't have a disability

Example of
inclusion
An example of ‘inclusion’ might
be thinking about ways that
wheelchair users could join in
with a certain sport, or creating
policies to ensure people of all
races are treated equally in a
workplace.

Why is Inclusion
Important?
1. Molds the values of the next
generation of children
2. Provides opportunities for
friendships
3. Prepares individuals for
adult life in the community

How to Support Inclusion

Develop a vision for your child's
inclusion and be able to get others
excited about the opportunity.
Begin early in order to give yourself
proper time to accomplish your
goal. etc
