requires any talking!” For the students who are waiting in line, I will highlight
positive behavior (Thank you (student name)!/ I love how (student) is
modeling the expectation for us!).

Students *When their house is called, the students should put their book bin on the shelf
and get in line order.

Notes:  As the students get in line, I will point out students who are modeling
good behavior and meeting the expectations.
 I will also remind the class of the expectations in line if necessary “I am
looking for a straight and quiet line”
 If there are specific students who are still not meeting the expectations
after my reminders, I will make eye contact with them and do the quiet
signal
5:00- As we are walking to lunch, I will continue praising positive behavior and
8:00 reminding the class of the expectations. Thank you (student name) and I love
how (student) is walking right now! I will use nonverbal cues like the quiet
signal and proximity to students who may not be meeting the expectations. If
necessary, I will call students out by their name to remind them of the
expectations in the hallway.

Ava, who is the line leader knows the stopping points on the way to lunch. When
she stops, I will wait for the entire class to catch up to the line before signaling
(making eye contact and nodding) that she can move on.

8:00- As the class is walking, I will stand near the back 2/3 of the class in order to have
8:30 an eye on everyone. When we turn around a corner, I will stand at that corner so
that I can see all of the students. Once we get into the cafeteria, I will make sure
everyone is sitting down at the table and a cafeteria monitor sees them before
moving on to the teacher’s lounge.
