PERFORMANCE TASK 1

Directions: Write your answer in a clean sheet of bond paper.

Goal: Form a sequence that will show the amount of money Jane is saving from the first to
seventh week.

Role: 1. “Kakanin” seller.

Situation: Jane helps her elder sister in selling “Kakanin”. From the money that her sister is
giving her, she plans to save Php25 every week for seven weeks. Form a sequence
that will show the amount of money she is saving from the first to seventh week.

Performance and Purpose: You need to form a sequence showing the amount of money Jane is
saving from the money given by her sister for the period of seventh week.

Criteria: See the Rubric.

SCORE DESCRIPTION
5 The written report is completely accurate and logically
presented. It includes facts, concepts, and computations
involving sequences.
4 The written report is generally accurate and the presentation
reflects understanding of arithmetic sequences. Minor in
accuracies do not affect the overall results.
3 The written report is generally accurate but the presentation
lacks application of arithmetic sequences.

PERFORMANCE TASK 2

Directions: Write your answer in a clean sheet of bond paper.

Goal: To form a sequence of the savings done by Bernabe, make a table of that sequence and
form the formula to know the amount of money save by Bernabe after six months.

Role: 1. Bernabe, the vacationist.

Situation: To save for a vacation trip, Bernabe made an initial deposit of Php40 into his savings
account. He then deposited PHP15 into the account the first week, Php20 the second week,
Php25 the third week and so on until he had enough money for the trip. Make a table to show
the flow of the money Bernabe is saving and make a formula to know his money after six
months considering that there are 4 weeks in a month.

Performance and Purpose: You need to form he sequence, make the table of that sequence
and give the formula to be used in determining the money save by Bernabe after six
months

Standards & Criteria: See the Rubric.
