NARRATIVE REPORT ON SCHOOL’S BEST PRACTICES FOR BE-LCP

The education system for school year 2019-2020 and up to the present has been severely
affected due to the threat of COVID- 19. The closure of school is one of the great challenges we
face today. Amidst these crisis, our school CAA ES Annex remained resilient to come up with
Basic Education-Learning Continuity Plan (BE-LCP). The LCP is anchored on DepEd Order No
12, s.2020 known as “Adoption of the Basic Education Learning Continuity Plan for School
Year 2020-2021 in Light of COVID-19 Public Health Emergency”.
The LCP focused on the emerging need of the learners in terms of covered competencies,
safety of stakeholders and means of communication in reaching out to our learners. We have
adopted best practices to ensure that learning is still possible despite of pandemic. Stakeholders
were included in planning, implementation and as well as in the evaluation.
The following are the school’s best practices in times of pandemic:
A. Enrollment- “Chat, Call and Enroll”
An increase in the enrollment rate for the School Year 2020-2021 and up to the
present. All teachers work hand in hand in reaching out their learners through text,
call and chat.
B. Implementation of Learning Modalities- Virtual Orientation
Learners and parents were properly oriented on the different modalities. A survey was
conducted through text and online poll to collect data on the preferred modality of the
learners. Through this, school head and teachers can decide on the number of
modules and worksheets to be reproduced.
C. Crafting and Reproduction of Modules- Attending Webinars in Crafting Modules/
Printing and Sorting Learning Packets
Competent teachers were sent to attend Division-led webinars in crafting quality
modules. Equipment such as risograph and printers were locally funded to ensure that
all learners will receive modules and worksheets.
D. Safety and Healthy Environment- Project LIGTASS
 Logging-in (Contract Tracing Form)
 Installation of Tarpaulins on Safety Protocols for COVID-19
 Getting
 Temperature should be checked upon entry.
 Always wear your facemask.
 Strictly Observe Social Distancing
 Skeletal Reporting
E. Distribution and Retrieval of Learners’ Packet
Schedule of distribution and retrieval of modules were properly disseminated to all
parents and guardians through text and chat. They were also instructed to follow
safety protocols and to come on the time scheduled for them.
F. Monitoring of Modular and Online Learning
School head and Master Teachers closely monitored classes and activities of teachers.
A supervisory plan was made to track the delivery of learning in offline and online
classes.
