The production we are doing is mainly focused around
mental health, more deeply we are going to look at
spiking and how being on the recieving end of it can
really affect someone's mental health. For example being
spiked may make them gain a fear of going out to
parties/social events. So we are going to show how being
spiked can wreck someone's life as well as their social
life.
The production suits our target audience because we are
looking at mental health and recently this has been a big
speaking topic for the youth community. I think that
focusing on spiking especially will hopefully get people
thinking about the topic and how they can stay safe and
help to prevent this awful matter which is unfortunately
seen frequently.
Obviously the main focus of our production is to avoid
offending anybody, this is the last thing we would want
the outcome of our short film to be. We want to raise
awareness about spiking because it is so dangerous to be
out of control and unaware of your surroundings. We
want people to see that unfortunately it can happen easily
and to anyone not just girls. This is why our main actor is
going to be identified as male not female, to show that it
can affect anyone and everyone.
BBC should buy our production because we are going to
show the affects/problems with mistreated and treated
mental health from a different perspective. I'm not going
to lie and say that this is going to be the first production
on mental health because thats been covered a lot, but the
way we produce our short film will hopefully be seen as
very different from others and unique in its own manner.
