We are aware that some of the articles contradict certain points made in the presentation - but keep
in mind that the idea of what a perfect CV looks like is ultimately subjective.

Depending on the position you apply for, you might need a different template. For a position in the
area of investment banking, you will always need a One-Pager CV.

We are providing some CV templates for you here, but feel free to create your own.

CV Template - IB - EBS.docx

Always make sure that you use the same design for cover letter and CV!

As mentioned in the CV presentation, action verbs are a good way to grab a recruiter's attention and
express what you have achieved and accomplished (see what we did there?). Below you can find lists
with German end English action verbs.

If you feel like you need a little refresher about the CAR method what it is, how to use it, and how it
can improve your CV, take a look at the video and PDF below.

Though not strictly speaking required, we strongly recommend that you put a nice-looking
professional picture on your CV if you're applying for a position here in Germany (and you should
also use a professional one for LinkedIn, Xing, EBS Career Platform, etc.) so it's very well-invested
money. Speaking of money: some photographers offer a special discount for students, just ask!
