MU MIU
The Spanish playing cards are a method of divination of the future. Each card
has a unique meaning. Interpretations vary according to the sources, but this
does not matter, since it is up to the cardmaker to assign the interpretation
he/she likes the most to each card.
In addition, some cardmakers interpret the cards according to whether they
come out upright or upside down.
Likewise, cups and clubs were considered as beneficial suits while golds and
swords were more negative. It is true that in every suit there are good and bad
cards.
Cups and golds usually represent people with light complexion and blond hair,
and clubs and spades represent people with dark skin and hair.

BASTOS
The Bastos deal with labor issues, movement, energy and action. Also
travel is represented by this suit. Fire signs:
Sagittarius, Leo
and Aries.

Ace of Wands: Remoteness

This card speaks of events in the long term or in
distant places.
It may indicate a long journey, relations with
foreign countries or other cultures.
It may be matters that need a long time to develop,
for example, studies or projects that are being
initiated and that will give results later on.
The letter therefore suggests foresight and calm.
If the card appears upside down, its meaning
changes more to the negative: things do not move, trips do not go out, issues
or people from the past appear that we do not like.
Two of Wands :
Closeness
This card speaks of short trips, weekend getaways,
conversations with neighbors, friends or siblings...
in short, small joys that help us move forward.
It tells us that we should seek happiness in the
near, not the far.
In the theme of love, it announces a flirtation or
maybe we should renew our relationship.
If we are somewhat depressed, it gives us a
message of hope to know that things are not always
so sad.

Three of Wands : Fraternity and universal love

It is a very beautiful card that speaks of universal

love between all people.
The people represented by these cards have a very
spiritual vision of life and are aware that we are all
brothers and sisters, feeling a deep love for all
beings.
If the spread is about love, it indicates a very deep
relationship, maybe even sex is of no importance.

Four of Wands : Resistance

This card gives people the energy, intelligence,

stamina, physical vigor and emotional stability to
achieve everything they want. On the other hand,
situations may stagnate and last longer than
desired.
In love, it indicates long and solid relationships,
perhaps a little heavy. Health is excellent. The
financial and professional situation is stable.
Five of Wands : Wisdom

This card refers to knowledge: that which we have

acquired through studies and that which we have
gained through life experiences. If it refers to the
consultant, it indicates a person with a good
academic background or with a lot of experience in
life. He knows his body well and is in good health.
In the area of labor, projects should be studied and
analyzed.

Six of Wands : Downcasting

This card is one of the most negative cards in the

deck.
It indicates a situation of depression, sadness and
lack of desire to move forward. The mood of the
consultant is down and it will be very difficult to get
out of this situation if the attitude is not changed.
We have to fight against these negative feelings
and thoughts. It will be very difficult to progress
with any future project because feelings paralyze
us. The surrounding cards indicate the reason for
this emotional disaster: with golds next to you, it is
because of financial matters, with clubs because of
relationship or family problems, with clubs because
of professional failures, with swords because of bad
health.
To heal our seriously ill soul, therapies such as hypnosis or meditation help.
Seven of Wands: World of Work

This card is related to the querent's profession and

his or her world of work in general. It indicates
what promotion possibilities you have, whether
you like what you do and to what degree you give
yourself. If the card represents the querent,
he/she will be a very responsible person who
fulfills his/her obligations.
Nearby cards give us more information about job
satisfaction and earnings for example.

Eight of Wands: Dependencies

This letter refers to some form of dependency. It

may be a dependency on a partner or family in an
unhealthy relationship where one partner is tied to
the other. In work matters, it may indicate a job
that does not provide an opportunity for
advancement and that is at an impasse. The card
surrounded by swords usually refers to
dependencies such as alcohol and drugs or bad
habits. With gold cards around it may be a sign
that the querent gives too much importance to the
material.
In any case, it indicates a weak person, controlled
by other people or circumstances.
He must learn self-control and self-confidence.
Nine of Wands: Satisfactions

With this card we can be at ease as we experience

satisfaction in the things we do.
According to the surrounding cards they indicate
happy relationships, a prosperous job or business, a
stable financial situation, good health.

Jack of Wands: Lady of the Passion

This card symbolizes a brown-haired, dark-skinned

woman with an energetic, passionate, impulsive,
charismatic, creative and self-confident personality,
perhaps of Aries, Leo or Sagittarius sign.
It can represent the consultant or a person he/she
knows.
On the material level it may indicate that we spend
money too impulsively without having to worry too
much because we know how to get what we want.
The love theme may indicate relationships or
jealousy because of this woman. At work we will
have enough energy and charisma to prosper.
Health in general is good, there may only be
discomfort due to excessive temperament.
Knight of Wands: Charismatic Knight

It represents a man of dark complexion, dark hair

with an athletic body. He has an energetic
character, with noble ideals, affectionate and
proud.
You may be a fire sign such as Leo, Aries or
Sagittarius.
But it does not have to be a male; if the querent is
a female but has the physical features and
character as described, it will probably be she who
is represented. In this case she is an active,
somewhat masculine and very determined woman.
Whatever the close cards are, it always has to do
with charisma and leadership. In love matters it
indicates a strong and passionate relationship. The
work is done with decision. The health is good and there is a love of sports.

King of Wands: Lord of Experience

This card refers to the inner state of the querent.

It is usually a person with a lot of experience,
enterprising, energetic, charismatic with
leadership skills, very self-confident who achieves
any goal.
It may be an older person or a fire sign such as
Leo, Aries or Sagittarius.
It is important to take into account the nearby
charts. If they are glasses, the querent may be
concerned about sentimental issues. With many
swords it indicates diseases of age.
With many unfulfilled professional ambitions.
CUPS

The Cups usually refer to love issues, the feelings of the

querent, life as a couple. Lovers, children, family, relationships
personal in general. Water signs such as Cancer, Pisces and Scorpio.

Very beneficial if we are thinking of creating a
family, buying a house or starting a family
business as we will be lucky in these matters.
It heralds well-being and happiness in the home
and with the family, as well as in the professional
sphere with successful partnerships.
If the card appears inverted, it indicates moving,
change of home or transfer of business.

Dos de Copas: Fertility

This card does not only refer to a possible

pregnancy, but rather it is related to children and
creativity, which are two very similar things since it
is something that comes out of us.
It is related to the 5th house of Astrology.
Nearby letters give us more details. If it is near a
jack or horse - symbolizing the querent - it may be
a pregnancy or issues related to children.
With many clubs it refers to the creative ability in
the work, with golds it usually refers to expenses
or income for our creations, especially if it is an
artist...
This letter warns us that we will soon receive new and unexpected news.

Tres de Copas: Messages

Whether it is good or bad depends on whether the
nearby cards are good or bad: with golds the news
is about money and income or expenses, with
clubs it is news of a family member, with clubs of
people living far away or work, contracts,
promotions or dismissals, with swords health-
related issues.

Cuatro de Copas: Instincts

This card refers mainly to sex and intimate

relationships. This is where we give free rein to our
instincts. It also includes our complexes and
wildest side.
If the querent asks about a person or relationship
and this card comes up, it means that the
relationship is dominated by sex. May indicate
frivolity and sexual adventures. With negative
letters wax may refer to problems in the
reproductive system or when having sex. With
golds or clubs it may indicate that finances or work
have to do with activities that are not very legal.
Cinco de Copas: Celebration

This is one of the best cards we can get. It heralds

a period of joy, celebration and optimism. If we
have asked about the progress of any problem, we
can be sure that it will go well. If the card is near a
jack, knight or king - symbolizing the querent - the
querent will be the center of attention and will
receive recognition by all.
With other cup type cards it can be celebrations
such as marriage or birth of a child or any other
family celebration. With clubs it is about labor
issues such as promotions or business gains, with
golds there will be reasons to rejoice about the
sale of a house or other money income, with swords it may be that a long
ailment disappears.

Six of Cups: Melancholy

This card indicates that the querent is in a state of

sadness that prevents him/her from moving
forward. Sadness is produced by bad memories or
experiences in the past, fears or other emotional
problems and negative thoughts.
If the consultant does not change his attitude and
try to be more optimistic, it will be difficult for the
situation to change to the positive.
The nearby cards give us more information about
the type of melancholy: with cups it is about
emotional and love problems, with clubs about
work, with swords about health and with golds
about money.
Seven of Cups: Fullness
This is an excellent card that warns us of a period
full of satisfaction where our deepest desires will
be fulfilled.
We have probably worked hard to make them
happen and we can finally reap the fruits of our
efforts.
Depending on the other cards, it may be about
happiness with a partner or in case of not having a
partner, it may be about love. The consultant may
experience rewards at work or find a job if he/she
does not have one. You feel full of vitality and
health.

contact, person or influential relationship. It may
be a loyal friend or co-worker who supports us or a
boss who promotes us. Like a gift from heaven we
will meet the right person at the right time. In love
we have the perfect partner who shares our social
life.
Our health can benefit from finding the right
doctor.
Nine of Cups: Detachment and Surrender

This card speaks of an altruistic person who gives

himself to others without self-interest. This person
gives himself to a cause without economic
motivation.
The card reminds us that everything we sow
sooner or later comes back to us. If we want to
find love, we must first give love. If we help
others, we will receive help when we need it.
If the spread is about love, it indicates a
relationship with no other interests than love. At
work you may be doing charity work or making
donations.

complexion, beautiful features, deep-set eyes,
usually light, and coppery hair. You may be a
Pisces, Cancer or Scorpio sign.
His character is romantic, sensitive, dreamy,
loving, creative and would do anything for a
dream.
If the querent, even if male, has these
characteristics, it is likely that he/she represents
him/her.
In money matters he will always have enough for
being such a kind and enthusiastic person; the
same applies to work where he stands out for his
creativity. In spreads about love, it indicates that this person needs love to live
and cannot be without a partner or without feeling loved. It is also related to
alternative medicine and diseases produced by emotions.
Caballo de Copas: Knight Errant

This card represents a man of fair complexion,

liquid eyes and light brown hair. His character is
dreamy and romantic and he has high ideals for
which he fights without material ambitions.
He is like the knight-errant of legends who fights
for the ladies, the weakest or his king. You may be
a Scorpio, Cancer or Pisces. It does not have to be
exclusively a man, it can also be a woman if she
has the characteristics described.
If the spread is about love, it indicates a very deep
relationship where each one gives his or her all. If
the querent does not have a partner, he/she is
looking for a romantic relationship with a person to whom he/she can give
him/herself completely. At work, he tries to earn enough to take care of his
family without being too ambitious. Material matters are usually not very
important to the querent. He may have gifts for healing.

the querent.
It indicates that we have to do with a person or
situation that is in dreamland, something
unattainable.
This is a person who is too much of a dreamer,
who likes to imagine situations and who has
difficulties for not keeping his feet on the ground.
If the spread is about love, it refers to a person
who would do anything crazy to find or keep a
partner. In work and money it indicates the desire
to progress, although utopias and dreams prevent
projects from materializing. Health depends to a
large extent on the state of mind you are in.

foreigners or professional issues, with golds with
money issues...
If the card appears inverted, be careful not to be
the victim of a scam. Problems with bureaucracy
and contracts are very important.
likely.

Two of Swords: "Surprise".

This card, like all the two, represents the duality of

its symbology.
The surprise to which it refers has to do with the
unconditional support and loyalty of friends, who
will unexpectedly come to our aid. Or, with the
enmity of acquaintances who suddenly show up
and bring about consequences in unplanned
situations. The image of the two swords drawn and
crossed, warns us about a struggle that wears out
the mind causing intense pain and many tears.
Depending on the cards that accompany the
spread, the surprise will be pleasant or unhappy.
When inverted, it shows a possible deception, someone with two faces who will
try to hurt us out of revenge.
Three of Swords: "Long-term events".

This letter alone can be considered negative. If it is

difficult for two people in a struggle to reach an
agreement, it is even more difficult when a third
party also puts its demands before them. This
augurs important conflicts with people close to
you. It symbolizes fear in the face of enemies, with
negative repercussions even in the emotional and
sentimental sphere of the querent. As it represents
a painful estrangement from someone we love
very much, it is possible that the person may leave
us. When inverted, the omen is even more
negative, and can even lead to madness. The good
omen, in this case, should be sought in the decks that accompany and bring the
positive in the spread.

Four of Swords: "Potholes and ill health".

These potholes refer not only to the tranquility and

peace of the consulter, who will be immersed in
situations of deceit, intrigues, difficulties, swindles

that will lead to isolation, loneliness and
retirement. It can also be a forced exile;

since it augurs great inner strength, accompanied
by peace of mind and clarity of thought to move
forward and face the future.
Five of Swords: "Separations and changes".

threats and obstacles. It represents the concern
and regrets that haunt the querent; the need to
settle some negative aspects of karma, therefore,
foreshadows a major displeasure or a strong
confrontation. It shows adversaries who are ready
to do battle, along with the danger of being
defeated with infamy and dishonor. It is

become contradictory, warning of stagnation in a
difficult situation. In inverted position it augurs
desolation, misfortunes and possible mourning.
Positive aspects should be sought in the cards accompanying the spread.

Six of Swords: "Weakness and infirmities".

This card represents conflict, the possibility of

hurting others, as well as being hurt. Here the
consultant depends on third parties who are of
vital importance to mark the path to be taken in
the action. In the mental aspect, it is
recommended to be attentive to one's own
limitations, avoiding self-deception that may cause
blame and deficiencies to be projected onto people
in the immediate environment. Temporary
impossibility to carry out a lasting and stable
sentimental relationship. It portends travel with
setbacks and new projects that stall without a
glimpse of a solution to the entanglement.
Patience is recommended, success will wait a little
longer, but it will come.
Seven of Swords: "Short-term events".

This card represents a reason for hope, some

event or person generates a glimpse of confidence
in ourselves that allows us to glimpse a better
future. It should be taken into account that the
aforementioned will give us an overload of
energetic acceleration; that although it infuses the
necessary strength to move forward, sometimes it
prevents the correct control of reason over
emotions. To observe feelings of fear, selfishness
and jealousy, which harass the soul and make
relationships too conflictive. It augurs, in addition
to the arrival of some hope, the income of some
money. It portends better times ahead with the help of other good cards in the
spread.

Eight of Swords: "Constancy".

This card represents the possibility of overcoming

problems with calm and perseverance. There is a
period of crisis that is coming to an end; where
you may receive criticism, slander and some bad
news; issues that will generate confusion and
intense desires to get away from the routine and
these distressing situations. It augurs an
unexpected trip, some incidents and oppositions;
although all this with possibilities of overcoming
crisis situations. If it is inverted, it presages
obstacles and oppositions. The speed and certainty
of success should be sought in the other cards that
accompany the spread.

This is a negative card in all aspects. It portends

suffering and concern for the loved one; this same
anxiety can be directed to generate conflicts,
despair and fears. It represents our own insecurity,
shyness or embarrassment, as well as fears based
on the difficulty of the period we are going

generally the defender of just causes and is willing
to take risks if he believes he is the victim of

our ally to help us find a way out of difficult times.
This card shows a conflict, a dispute that must be
understood and faced with full decision. This bad
news can be received as a message or it can come
from the hand of a woman. It is advisable to watch
