Respected Sir,

I’m writing to apply for the post of Senior Associate Recruitment Selection and Matriculation at
your organization. I’m a certified psychologist and currently doing Masters in Career Counseling from the
National University of Sciences and Technology. I had completed my course work with a 3.73 CGPA;
however, I’m working on my thesis these days. I have a working experience of almost 2 years as
psychologist and student counselor in well reputed organizations like Fauji Foundation Hospital, Military
hospital, APS Schools and NUCES-FAST University Isl. The labor market exposures had given me a chance
to apply the academic knowledge and skills in understood the mindset of individuals and identify the gaps
in educational sectors. This work experience had helped me in developing leadership skills along with
passion and commitment. Furthermore, by dealing with different stakeholders I had enhanced
professional communication and interpersonal skills. Furthermore, I can be a useful asset for your
organization because of my good academic background and command over clinical and therapeutic
interventions.
With more than 2 years of experience as a Psychologist and Career Counselor, I am adept in
analyzing student needs assessment and providing counseling. Moreover, while my on-the-job experience
has afforded me a well-rounded skill set. I excel at:
 Managing students to succeed academically, socially and emotionally,
 Evaluating students' abilities and interests through aptitude assessments, interviews, and
individual planning,
 Conducting psycho-educational tests to appraise the emotional, social, behavioural and
educational status and needs of students referred for psychological services,
 Working with students to help them understand the needs and problems and manage their
behaviour,
 Developing soft skills,
 Advising students for all opportunities in the market and guide them accordingly,

For me, Teach for Pakistan is an organization that would give me a chance to deal with educational
inequality and poor educational system that are of the most demanding challenges of Pakistan. Being a
career counselor I think I have a deep interest in facilitating individuals with their educational difficulties in
a way that they can understand themselves and cope with challenges they are facing. I want to work with
under privileged children and I think Teach for Pakistan is a platform which aligns with my interest in a
best way. Along with that I think this platform will also give me a change of growth, help me in developing
leadership skills and becoming a part of change which we all strive for.
Being a Recruitment Selection and Matriculation Associate, one of the biggest challenge is hiring
right people for right job and making deserving candidates get the admission in college and university best
aligning with their area of interest. This challenge can be overcome by career assessments and exploring
area of interest. I am a trained career counselor who has a command over testing and assessments, who
can apply valid tests to explore student’s interest and employee’s values through assessment and
psychological interviewing. Second challenge that can be faced is encouraging institutions to organize
career guidance and counseling camp where student would be guided about studying abroad, meeting
employer, exploring educational and scholarship opportunities. This challenge can be overcome by
convincing authorities rationally. My strong networking skill will also be a plus point for this job role. I am
confident that my skills, experience and knowledge would make me an asset to your fine team.
