The Hopi creation story teaches that humans shape their own lives and worlds based on the choices they make. People are products of their environments and everything they experience as children and indulge in as adults. Humans have the power to choose their path and in doing so sculpt their own unique lives, for better or worse, as the architects of their own stories.

From what I understood on the story is that we are the architects of our own world. We make our own lives; life is about making one's own self, not finding one's own. It is said that we are a direct product of our environment, in which referring to everything we've been exposed to as children and everything we indulge in as adults. We are given the power to choose, and it is through that choice that we shape our life. We are the artists that paint themselves in our own unique style, whether it is light, brilliant, colorful, dark and/or grey. This may be an example on how humans are all the same in which we are just trying to figure out the way in life in their own ways and learnings.
