 Sepak takraw is a sport of Southeast Asian origin and is a popular sport in

Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Myanmar, Philippines, Cambodia, Laos. It is similar to
volleyball but Sepak takraw use the type of being made of rattan and only allows
players to use their feet, knees, chest, and head to touch the ball.
At the sports Southeast Asian festival (SEA Games), Thailand is the strongest/
the best country in this sport. It is supposed that Sepak takraw, which emerged/ came
out/ came into insight/ appearedfive hundred years ago, as Siamese football (former
name of Thailand). According to the French historian François Henri Turpin, Siamese
play Sepak takraw to keep fit.
Sepak takraw has two versions. The first version is not a competition but a
combination of skills to practice bodybuilding, improve dexterity, relax the limbs after
a long time sitting, standing, and working. By the 1940s, a second version also known
as the grid version, was introduced, and the basic rule of the game. This version makes
the game really a competition between two teams. This sport has also officially become
a one of the competitive contents of the SEA Games.

I had never been to a

football match with my own
father. He was disabled and was
bed-ridden during most of my
childhood. So, I had always had
this image in mind that if I had
ever had a son, we’d go to a
football game together, hand in hand.
By eight, my son was a passionate supporter. He would write out his
own lists of goals and records in his horrible handwriting. He would go to
bed reading his Spurs books and programmes, falling asleep with them on
his little chin. He only lives three streets away now and we still talk about
football all the time. This is because football is not just a game that begins
and ends. Football is a passion for life, cutting across/ regardingless all
ages, all classes, and all backgrounds.
As a parent, it’s hard to share interests with your children and find
common ground. However, with football, there are no generation gaps/
diferrent. You can discuss the match, any match, with the very old or the
very young, and your opinion will be listened to. I used to ring my father-
in-law, who died at 96, every Saturday at 5:30 pm after Sports Reports for
decades just to discuss how Carlisle United had got on. It was our point of
contact, what we had in common. Yes, I know a pretty superficial point of
contact, but is going on about shopping, babies or relationships really all
that more meaningful?
My son rings me after he has seen a match on television or at half-
time on his mobile, if he’s at a match without me. He might be indulging
me as I indulged my father-in-law, but that doesn’t bother me. Football has
replaced
 the zoo as the half-day a week treat for divorced fathers. You also see
middle- class, middle-aged fatherssuddenly acquiring an interest in football,
which they never had before, as a way of establishing a relationship with
their children whom they’ve hardly talked to for 20 years because they were
so busy in their careers.

Football is a national sport in Britain. It appears that everyone in Britain has
his/her own favorite team. In the text, ‘the Spurs’ is the nickname of the
Tottenham Hotspur football club. When you translate it into Vietnamese, use
the official name of the club.

known as The Oscars, are a set of awards

achievements. The Oscar statuette is officially
named the Academy Award of Merit and is
one of nine types of Academy Awards.

Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS),

informal name is widely known among Vietnamese who are interested in the

Early morning in Vietnam: twenty years of missing Trinh Cong Son

 In 2021, many art activities in memory of the late musician Trinh
Cong Son will take place in many provinces and city across the country.
A representative of musician Trinh Cong Son’s family said that seven
performances in memory of the late musician in 2021 will take place in
Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh city, Hue, Binh Duong, Bac Ninh, Hai Phong, Da
Lat with the common theme of “Vietnamese morning”.

The Green Mile is a 1999 American fantasy crime drama film

written and directed by Frank Darabont and based on Stephen King’s 1996
novel of the same name. It stars Tom Hanks as a death row corrections
officer and Michael Clarke Duncan as an enigmatic inmate. David Morse,
Bonnie Hunt, Doug Hutchison and James Cromwell appear in supporting
roles.
Although much of the three-hour movie takes place in the prison
during the U.S. Great Depression, there is an intelligent use of exterior
locations and flashbacks. The story starts with Paul Edgecomb (Tom
Hanks) walking the green mile - the greenish pathway from cellular to the
execution room- with a variety of convicts. He gets acquainted with John
Coffey (Michael Clarke Duncan), a huge black man condemned for cruelly
killing two young sisters. Throughout the movie, one can feel that Coffey
had the physical strength to kill anyone, but deep inside his heart, he
embodies kindness itself. Coffey is depicted as having a simple, naive
nature and a fear of the dark, but seems to have an extraordinary,
supernatural ability. At a certain time in the story, Paul starts doubting
whether Coffey is actually guilty of killing the two young innocent girls.
The Green Mile is one of the best movies ever made, and for good
reasons. To start with, the acting and direction are just amazing. In addition,
the story is thought provoking, depicting the eternal battle between good
and evil. The story contrasts generous, altruistic characters with others who
represent humanity’s cruelty. With that being said, the movie’s downside is
the horrific torture scene near the end. It might be very disturbing and scary
for kids.

người. Tuy vậy, nhược điểm của bộ phim là cảnh tra tấn dã man ở gần đoạn kết. Nó có
thể rất đáng lo ngại và đáng sợ đối với trẻ em.
