Miss Universe 2020

Miss Universe is one of the most awaited events of the year for the whole
universe. This year, 74 contestants competed and only one will be coronated as Miss
Universe 2020.

From the very beginning, we can see that everyone was so excited for the said
pageant, including the candidates, the judges, the hosts, and even the audience. When
the pageant started, the hosts presented the 74 contestants from different countries. We
observed that all of them looked so stunning in their looks, dresses, swimsuits, and
even their words add up to their beauty. Every contestant gave their best to show the
universe that they are deserving to be titled Miss Universe 2020. When the hosts
announced the Top 21, everybody was so enthusiastic and nervous. Luckily, the
Philippines were called. In the swimsuit competition, all the top 21 ladies looked so
gorgeous in their swimsuits. When Miss Philippines ramped on the stage she looks so
confident, but one thing that I observed was that she was a little bit nervous. Due to that
nervousness, her smiles were limited. When the top 10 was called everyone was
shocked that Miss Philippines didn’t make it. Nonetheless, Filipinos were still proud and
thankful for her. During the evening gown competition, everyone wore beautiful gowns
that definitely hooked the interest of the audience and even the judges. When it’s time
for the announcement of the top 5, everyone was nervous. The top 5 contestants were
Brazil, India, Peru, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic. All those ladies were asked
two questions and their answers will be the basis for the selection of Miss Universe
2020. All of their answers were good and pleasing in the ears. In the end, Miss Mexico
won the crown. Although some were disappointed about the results, they accepted
them. Moreover, I would like to add some comments about the hosts of the pageant. I
felt like they are not suited to be the hosts of a pageant because they don’t know how to
spice up the emotions of the candidates as well as the audience. I observed that they
lacked humor and some of them seem like in another world because of their facial
expressions.
 In conclusion, even though Miss Universe 2020 was far away different from the
past years, it’s still remarkable because of the ladies overflowing confidence, beauty,
and intelligence.
