CLINICAL EXPERIENCE
OCTOBER 2021 – NOVEMBER 2021
CLINICAL EXPERIENCE, TUCSON MEDICAL CENTER (TMC)
During my fourth semester of nursing school, I did my preceptorship at TMC on an adult surgical
floor. I completed a total of 180 hours.

AUGUST 2021 – OCTOBER 2021


CLINICAL EXPERIENCE, POPULATION HEALTH
During my fourth semester of nursing school, I spent eight hours at Andy Toolson Elementary
school shadowing a school nurse. I also spent another 67 hours surveying a particular
community, learning about public health, and doing health teaching.

JANUARY 2021 – MAY 2021


CLINICAL EXPERIENCE, HIGH ACUITY AND PSYCHIATRIC NURSING
During my third semester of nursing school, I went to Banner and worked on an oncology floor
where I followed different nurses hanging IV medications, giving oral medication, and preforming
nursing care. Between in-person clinical experience at Banner and lab I completed a total of 270
hours. During my time learning about psychiatric nursing, I attended virtual stimulations and
completed a total of 75 hours.

AUGUST 2020 – DECEMBER 2020


CLINICAL EXPERIENCE, MEDICAL-SURGICAL NORTHWEST HOSPITAL
During my second semester of nursing school, I went to Northwest Medical Center where I
worked on a medical-surgical floor. During this time, I gave injections, oral medications, and
preformed other nursing care activities. I also put in my first foley catheter. Overall, I got 135
hours of clinical and lab experience in medical-surgical nursing.

AUGUST 2020 – DECEMBER 2020


CLINICAL EXPERIENCE, PEDIATRICS & OBSTERTRICS TUCSON MEDICAL CENTER
During my second semester of nursing school, I went to TMC and visited the pediatric floor along
with the mom and baby unit. During this time, I learned how to care for children and women
who were pregnant, in labor, or just gave birth. Overall, I got 210 hours of clinical and lab
experience.

JANUARY 2020 – MAY 2020


CLINICAL EXPERIENCE, LONG-TERM CARE
During my first semester of nursing school, I went to the Veteran Affairs (VA) a few times where I
mainly took vitals and talked to residents. I also did virtual learnings and labs that taught me how
to take care of patients in a long-term care setting. By the end of the semester, I completed a
total of 112 hours of clinical and lab experience.

OCTOBER 2016 – DECEMBER 2018
MEDICAL ASSISTANT, PIMA HEART
During my two years at Pima Heart, I was a primary medical assistant for an electrophysiologist,
Dr. Jerrold Winter. I was in-charge of running Dr. Winter’s clinic where we would see around 40
patients on a full clinic day. I was also responsible for calling patients back, scheduling
appointments, scheduling surgeries, and educating patients. I was trained to do treadmill stress
tests, tilt table testing, preform ECGs, and taking vital signs. I worked closely with pacemaker
representatives and did multiple ECG training courses.

I attended Pima Community College on and off for about two years. Pima offered a more flexible
class schedule that I was beneficial while I was working full time.

MEDICAL ASSISTANT, PIMA MEDICAL INSTITUTE
I went to Pima Medical Institute to earn my certificate as a medical assistant. I maintained a 4.0
GPA throughout this program and was placed at Pima Heart for my externship. I was hired from
my externship before completing and was promoted to a primary medical assistant within one
month.

HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA, SHOW LOW HIGH SCHOOL
In high school I maintained a 3.8 GPA.
