This webinar discussed Occupational wellness. How is your occupational environment affecting
your home? when everything is not okay because people spend too much time at work.
Occupational wellness is really important. It includes of not just job satisfaction but also your ability
to use your talent and skills at work. Your ambition and personal growth and change. And how does
occupational wellness affect our home life. Occupational wellness is the ability to achieve a balance
between work and leisure in a way that promotes health, a sense of personal satisfaction and for
most people financially rewarding.

WHAT I LEARNED:
According to World Health Organization (WHO), most people spend 1/3 of their adult life at work.
Occupational wellness in a nutshell it about maximizing your workplace happiness by focusing on
work that brings you sense of joy, satisfaction, and accomplishment. It is about focusing on your
ability to balance work and play. It is having the ability to achieve a balance between work and
leisure time, addressing workplace stress and building relationships with co-workers.

Occupational wellness balances work and personal time that encourages personal and
professional growth often financially rewarding for most people. It is about choosing a profession
that provides a feeling and purpose productivity. It is about using your gifts to discover who you are
called and what you are called and what you are supposed to do. It is about creating personal
growth, fulfillment and satisfaction in your work. It is simply not just about creating a happy
environment where you can work but also about you being able to use your gifts, your abilities and
have that personal growth, that fulfillment and satisfaction in your work and being able to fulfill your
purpose.

Occupational wellness is the ability to achieve a balance between work and leisure in a way that
promotes health, a sense of personal satisfaction and for most people financially rewarding. To
improve your occupational wellness first is don’t settle keep motivated and work towards what you
want. Know your boundaries for you to be able to create a good environment workplace. Every job is
a game for us. So find the fun in it so that you will be more productive and you will create a better
work environment.
