the discovery of the islands and folks dwelling the place.
The primary reason of Antonio Pigafetta in writing the document is to discover and

which caused him to join the voyage and served as an assistant to Magellan. Magellan
desired to prove that the world was round and through his investigation, he proved it.
However, they faced so much circumstance leaving Magellan dead while Pigafetta

Every details and information of the events that occurred during the expedition was
equally important for today’s understanding of the past. They made great voyages into the

Pigafetta’s narrative attracted my attention.
One thing that helped me in understanding and appreciating more our history is the
details about when Magellan’s group reached the Philippines where they were able to feast
on bananas and coconuts. They sailed on through the Philippines to Cebu where they made
a coalition with a local ruler who agreed to be baptized as Christians and swore allegiance
to the King of Spain. Also, they have gotten to the point to fight with the group of Lapu
Lapu. Besides that, their journey was really a mix of tremendous and horrible scenes just
in search for the Spice Island.
