*Emergency Rating (Models with suffix “ER”) - these ratings are applicable for supplying continuous electrical power (at variable load) in the event of a utility power fail-
ure, up to a maximum of 200 hours per year. No overload is permitted on these ratings. Exceeding 200 hours operation per year may result in a reduced product life.

Engine
There is a choice of two variations of the 2506-E15 engine – the ‘A’ and ‘C’ variants. Based
on the latest emissions technology, the 2506-E15 ‘C’ variant engine will comply with the
aforementioned EU emissions legislation.
The ‘A’ Variant of this engine delivers lower fuel consumption than the ‘C’ variant but is not
compliant with emissions legislation. With either variant, this is a fully electronic engine that
provides lower maintenance costs, engine monitoring, protection and control. To ensure this
product introduction is as smooth as possible for customers, the 2506-E15 engine has 85%
commonality of parts with its predecessor.

Enclosures
With the launch of 2506-E15 powered models comes an innovative new enclosure strategy.
FG Wilson is not only offering an enclosure that complies with EU noise legislation but also an
enclosure that is designed for operation in high ambient environments with no loss of cooling
system performance.
Competitive Advantage
Class-leading Footprint – Open Sets
A more compact package size has been achieved with the 2506-E15 powered models. The
current equivalent product (the 2806-E16 powered generating set) has a footprint of 4.59 m².
The 2506-E15 powered generating set is 4.14 m² in size – a reduction in footprint of 10%.
Model Footprint m²
FG Wilson 2506-E15 powered generating sets 4.14
Pramac c/w Volvo TAD1631GE 4.55
Himoinsa c/w Scania DC1643A 4.62
Aksa c/w QSX15 4.68
Gesan c/w Volvo TAD1640GE 4.76
SDMO c/w Volvo TAD1640GE 5.21
Cummins c/w QSX15 5.89
The footprint of the enclosed set has also been reduced by 0.22 m² (from 9.3 m² to 9.08 m²).
Smaller footprint can result in savings on shipping/freight, installation and storage costs. Due to the
smaller package size of these models, it is now possible to ship:
Power Density
500 kVA:
32.89 kVA / Litre
6% higher power density versus SDMO w/ Volvo TAD1640GE
13% higher power density versus Himoinsa w/ Iveco (8281 Sri27)
550 kVA:
36.18 kVA / Litre
19% improvement over 2806-E16
6% higher power density versus SDMO w/ Volvo TAD1640GE
3% higher power density versus Himoinsa w/ Scania DC1643A
