*Since the influence of the valve diameter or the

number of the thread is great, in some cases it is difficult to apply the
same above mentioned torque valve to tighten the valve stem.
(For example, when the valve body is used in common and only the flare
connection size is changed)
In this case, it is acceptable to specify twice the minimum seat torque
of the valve stem as “specified torque for the tightening valve stem”

*Make sure to confirm that a worker can tighten the valve stem without
difficulty with a hexagon head spanner.

4-1 Bearing force against leak when tightened with flare nut:

When a flare nut is tightened, leak from the valve seat is not
acceptable under all of the following condition. When tightened by a
torque up to 2 times of the specified torque (4-1-1). Leak shall be
checked in accordance with the testing method No 2
of the clause 6.
-Hold the hexagon part of the body with spanner
and tighten the flare nut with another spanner.
(2 spanner are to be used)
-Hold the valve body with spanner and
tighten the flare nut with another
spanner.(2 spanner are to be used)
-Tighten the flare nut with spanner.(01 Spanner is to be used)

5.SHAPE

The hexagon part shall be made on the valve body so that two spanners
can be used for tightening. The dimensions of the hexagon part shall be
so designed that the valve can be operated with an
adjustable spanner of the size shown below even if the
valve cap is at any position.
