MANILA, Philippines — Five local government units in Metro Manila are
now under moderate risk for COVID-19 as the reproduction number for
the capital region dropped to 0.94, OCTA Research reported on Sunday.

According to Dr. Guido David, OCTA Research fellow, the moderate risk
LGUs are Pateros, Valenzuela, Manila, Malabon, and Navotas. David
claimed that the risk levels are based on indicators calculated by COVID
Act Now, an organization based in the United States, and may not reflect
the alert level ratings by the Department of Health.

The rest of Metro Manila, meanwhile, remained at high risk for the
coronavirus, possibly driven by the highly transmissible Delta variant.

Manila, Valenzuela and Pateros at moderate risk (based on Covid Act
