This is my favourite singer: Bruno Mars. He’s a singer and a songwriter. He’s
from the USA and his birthday is on 8th October.
He wakes up very early every day because he is working hard for his next
album. He always gets up at 6 o’clock and then he has a shower. After that he has
breakfast, he often has cereal and milk. At quarter to seven, he goes to the studio
by bike. He works until midday and when he finishes work, he meets his sister.
They have lunch together in a Chinese restaurant every day.
In the afternoon he goes back to the studio. He goes to the gym twice a week.
He likes listening to music while he practises.
In the evening he returns home at seven, he always cooks dinner, sets the table
and does the washing up. When he finishes dinner, he takes the rubbish out and
then he watches TV for a while.
He always goes to bed at half past ten.
C. Read the sentences and match the household chores with the pictures. ___ / 5
Sue – I don’t help my parents with the housework very often. I usually go to
school and don’t make my bed because I don’t have time. And you, Anne?
Anne – I always tidy my bedroom before going to school, so I always make my bed. Is it
really true that you never help at home, Sue?!
Sue – Well… I sometimes help cooking dinner and setting the table but I never do the
washing up or the ironing.
Anne – Oh… I love doing the washing up and I always take the rubbish out.
