Nutritional Meals

FOR PREGNANT & LACTATING

WOMEN

REMEMBER TO EAT ACCORDING TO YOUR GOALS.

REFLECTION
1.What makes you proud of doing your task today and why?
For me, the thing that makes me proud in doing the task is my ability to plan the proper meals for
pregnant woman and lactating mother.. I learn a lot of knowledge about what a pregnant mother
should consume by preparing the nutritional meals. Healthy nutrition keeps the mother healthy and
provides the baby with the nutrients he or she requires while still in the womb. It is also beneficial to
eat well during pregnancy because it can help with labor and delivery.

2.What were your strengths and weaknesses in doing the task?

Strengths- I think I have fairly good willpower when it comes to food. I plan and pre-log my meals and
snacks consistently. I am patient and realistic. I am positive about my progress and getting to my goal.
My weaknesses in making this activity is my insufficient knowledge or skill in computing or balancing
meals, such as the right amount of calories required intake that must be given to pregnant mothers
and breastfeeding women, especially in terms of food and beverage number of servings, is one of my
shortcomings in completing this work.

3.By doing the task does it improve your understanding of good nutrition? Do you think it will
change your healthy habits?
Yes, it improves my understanding of good nutrition. When it comes to eating, we have strong habits.
Some are good, and some are not so good. Although many of our eating habits were established
during childhood, it doesn’t mean it’s too late to change them. It can be hard to change your eating
habits. But it helps to focus on small changes. Making changes to your meal may also be beneficial if
you have diseases that can be worsened by the things you eat or drink. Good nutrition is one of the
keys to a healthy life. You can improve your health by keeping a balanced meal. You should eat foods
that contain vitamins and minerals. Then look at the unhealthy eating habits you’ve highlighted. Be
sure you’ve identified all the triggers that cause you to engage in those habits. Identify a few you’d
like to work on improving first. Don’t forget to pat yourself on the back for the things you’re doing
right. These are good habits! Recognizing your successes will help encourage you to make more
changes.
