1 Product Overview
This document describes the Radio Units (RUs) for RBS 6000 systems.
1.1 Purpose
The main purpose of the RU is to send and receive signals.
The RU receives digital data and converts it to analog signals. It also receives
radio signals and converts these to digital signals.

1.2 Variants
The following variants are available:
• RUS 01 B1
• RUS 01 B2
• RUS 01 B3

• RUL 01 B13
2 Function Description
The RU is certified for 60 W. The default output power without license keys is
20 W. License keys are used to set the output power to 40 W or 60 W.

To unlock a unit using the maintenance button, perform the following steps:
2. Release the button and wait until the blue indicator is off.
To lock a unit using the maintenance button, perform the following steps:
1. Press the maintenance button between two and seven seconds. The blue
optical indicator will go from fast blink to slow blink.
2. Release the button during slow blink and wait until the blue optical indicator
stops blinking and remains on.
To restart a unit using the maintenance button, perform the following steps:
1. Press the maintenance button for more than seven seconds. All optical
indicators will turn off and then on again for at least one second as the
unit restarts.
2. Release the button and wait until the green optical indicator is steady on.
