The two hospitality companies that I am taking is Mc Donald’s and Tim
Hortons.

There are two vides and a picture used by Mc Donald’s for advertisement. It has done a great work to
overcome problem of intangibility. It has created a nice music to give emotional appeal and also in video
adds it had described many products so nicely. In this picture also it has used nice cues to attract
customers.

There is a video and two pictures that are used recently by Tim Hortons for advertisements. It uses
beautiful taglines and product describing videos to appeal its customers.

Mc Donald’s VS Tim Hortons


It is clear from the advertising methods used by both that Mc Donald’s and Tim Hortons that Mc
Donald’s advertisements are more appealing because it uses audio with visuals more than Tim Hortons
moreover the strategies are far better than Tim Horton’s as the music the expalanation of products and
services are done in better way. The way it describes a product attracts us to buy. Moreover, the image
if used by Mc Donald’s is represented in separated board while Tim Horton’s image is near St Hubert. So,
it is clear that Mc Donald’s are more convincing than Tim Horton’s.
1. Mc Donald’s is doing a great job to overcome this question by promoting
loyal agents, giving proper training t employees so that they can beautifully
interact with customer. It is working hardly to realize the MNE’s
(Motivations, needs and expectations) of customers. It also had adopted a
method of suggestively sell to make its customers more satisfied. [ CITATION

Tim Hortons is also burning mid night oils to answer these questions. It had
made a forum to give your reviews and is also working to understand
needs of customer. It also provides a customer helpline to seek help.

2. Cues for Mc Donald’s and Tim Hortons-


Tim Hortons uses metaphor like double-double to refer to a coffee with two
creams and two sugars and is used exclusively is Tim Horton coffee shops.

Mc Donald’s uses metaphor like double drive- throughs. To ease line inside
and outside stores, many locations are adding second drive through
